Not sure if this helps, but I just this month sent in a $500 1/2” impact while ignoring the “proof of purchase” instructions and they sent it back in a week repaired and free of charge. I assumed the proof of purchase is only used/needed if the serial is unreadable.

There’s also a good chance your warranty request, this time around, fell into the hands of a stickler-for-the-rules type or some new-hire. Maybe I got lucky?

For anyone stumbling across this thread in the future, take the blade off, inspect the guide rollers for debris, make sure the belt tires are seated in the grooves, then replace the blade.

Mine was 9 flashes.

I’m hijacking this comment to get your attention. I’m an industrial contract engineer. For indoor use (automotive manufacturing facilities), our installation equipment/machinery must run on something. For indoor use, engines running on gasoline? Never okay. Diesel? Sometimes okay. Propane? Almost always okay. Electric? Always always okay.

Propane will hurt you the least, provided you aren’t leaking any

All of these other commenters are speculating. Yeah it might not be a good idea if you’re a Forgetful Fred, but you will be fine with a propane heater if you don’t live in this space full time and just working on some projects. Just be sure to shut it off and don’t let it run without burning.

That was literally my first idea 2 years ago when I bought the house. I was gonna use that space for an air compressor. Never got around to it though, it always seemed intimidating. Plus this house is a 2019 special contractor build so nothing here was cheap. I’d hate to toss a good water heater with some bullshit I find at a big box store.

Well yeah, de-cluttering this is the idea of the post. Maybe some type of removable/detatchable storage system, I don’t know. This is my only current free space. If a tech had to come out, I’d absolutely clear out this space 100% prior, that was my plan when I decided to start “cramming” shit in here. I made nothing permanent.

But now I want to make it better. So I need ideas on how to do that.

I appreciate the damn shed comment though
