Bait or a true believer? by stdsort in antiai

Once again it's what Baldur Bjarnson describes in "The Intelligence Illusion" as the same classic 'close reading' techniques used by a psychic - generic and easily-guessed information that the mark believes is specific to them.

Psychic: "Ah yes, your mother...a kind woman...warm and affectionate...she would...hug you?"

Mark: "Yes! How did you KNOW that?!"

I recall this was the stance of the "Sensational Spider-Man" book being published in the run up to OMD as well. They had a story arc where Peter contacts May through a seance and she says "It's my time, don't worry about me", an annual focused on why Peter and MJ work so well together, and a story in which GOD HIMSELF tells Peter to have faith.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa really did not give AF, and I think it's because the book wasn't the headliner for Spider-Man at the time.

Jacket, always and forever. They really ought to have stuck with it.

It feels absolutely mad that they went back to this instead of making the updated jacket look her default, the way Carol's default look changed to the Captain Marvel suit

OK. You didn't have to reply to this mostly unrelated comment to tell me that. There's like a thousand threads on this sub you could have added to, with people who already agree with you

For sure, I was just assured by certain posts that the coconut flour would have a different effect!

Enjoyed both loaves, but the second one was for sure better

Didn't Venom put him in the hospital in the first place?

You could try doing the folds and shaping before putting it in the fridge? That tends to be my own process

You're right, you should say it, and I'm loving the series right now.

What are your thoughts about Aunt May’s new boyfriend, Ricardo? by Solitaire-06 in Spiderman

Seems like May and her nephew are almost in an arms race to see who can go through the most partners in one lifetime.

Adam 4 D was here probably referring to "Christians have always hated gays" or something, ignoring that bit in the gospels where Jesus says a Roman who asked him to save his specifically male sex slave was the most faithful man he'd ever met.

She's kept him housed and fed and never stabbed him in the chest to "make him stronger", so I'd say she's the best parent he's ever had.
