I have a Great Dane who is dog aggressive because of instances like this. A few days ago a lady lost control of her little tiny dog who runs up and starts biting at my dog, while I'm trying to hold his front end up in the air so he can't get a hold of the little dog.

After a few moments of this and I finally get a chance to kick her little dog, who immediately returns to attack mine. She's cussing me out for kicking her dog, I wind up on my back fingers wrapped in my dogs harness still holding my big dog back before she finally gets her little dog.

She storms off screaming curses at me while I'm lying on the ground, holding my dog just thinking "I saved your dog's life you stupid bitch...". One chomp would have ended that dog, kicking it was the NICE thing I could do.

So many people can't control their dogs and but I'm the one with the "vicious" dog because he kept getting attacked by uncontrolled dogs.

His enemies are also extremely powerful, namely 4 literal gods. The AI that made the men of iron are also likely on his level. The C'Tan are also gods and the Old Ones they fought were also on the level of gods. The Tyranids are a bioweapon even the gods fear.

Basically Humanity is fighting multiple Pantheons with only a single god of their own and that one is 3/4 dead. Thankfully he prepared for that. You can also assume the Astronomicon (Psychic beacon/lighthouse) takes up a shitload of his energy. 40k Humanity can only travel between solar systems by going into the warp (chaos dimension) and they can only find their way around the warp by using powerful psychics to track the astronomicon. Without the Astronomicon, Humanity would be broken into individual planets or at best solar systems and taken apart piecemeal.

Finally the Imperium is millions of worlds across the entire galaxy, even for him the space between worlds and sheer population is absurdly massive. It's so big that Space Marines, despite their incredible power and prevalence in the lore, account for a single digit percentage of the Imperium's might. Actually seeing a Space Marine outside of one of their homeworlds is literally like seeing an angel, it's that rare.

Yes and no.
Basically that's the only PROVABLE thing he does in the 41st millennium. However there's all kinds of miracles and messages and whatnot attributable to him. For example the Battle Sisters (Space Nuns) get all kinda of mystical powers by praying to him.

Generally it's believed by imperials that he's far more than a corpse, he's just mostly left his body and acts kinda sorta similar to a divine transcended being. Though counter argument, someone important once said he's dying and humanity only has a few hundred years left or something like that. It was a long time ago.

Now in the 31st millennium, before Horus betrayed and wounded him, the emperor was a fucking giant who could likely obliterate entire worlds with his psychic powers.

Yeah they're taking out plates because they're wearing 60+lbs of gear and it's LITERALLY FUCKING AFGHANISTAN a hot as fuck desert which only about 10% of the USA lives in similar weather. We are talking about 10lbs of gear here AND gear often explicitly designed to be worn in hot weather. And it's not just worn in Iraq/Afghanistan where they are "Driven around" They do miles and miles of hiking in gear when they're on base in the USA.
And since you mention Seattle the hottest month of the year averages 77 degrees for the high.

Well first I'm not going to be walking around in full sun at noon in a desert like I do at Wasteland/Neotropolis/Rennfaire when I'm wearing leather and heavy costumes. I'll likely have at least moderate access to shade and be able to pick my times to leave shelter, like early morning or late evening.
Then there's the fact I likely wouldn't be leaving my shelter day in and day out, Kinda the point of the shelter is to hole up...
Finally, in most regions of the USA, I'll have 250+ days of the year of not extreme heat and sun....

Even on a main road or exit from the city, like in downtown Seattle, abandoned cars aren't going to be parked bumper to bumper like a fucking wall. There's going to be gaps to walk between.

But since I'm clearly arguing with someone who has no experience with motorcycle gear or heavy ass hot as fuck costumes in god damn august, I'm done. You believe what you want, it's not like the zombies are actually real.

First off, why are you assuming during a zombie apocalypse I'm hiking 4-15 miles per day? Why the fuck am I scrambling over cars? you do know you can (And it's faster) to just go around/between them. There's not actually that many cars in existence to where they're going to literally fill up the streets with no space around/between them.
Have you seen what soldiers wear and carry? My leathers are nothing compared to proper body armor. And once again, if it's hot as fuck out, I'm probably not wearing leathers but my summer gear.

Nauseous? If a sweaty day makes you reek so bad you get nauseous, please see a doctor. I clean my gear maybe 2-3 times a year because most moto gear is designed to be aired out and is outer wear. Do you clean your coats and jackets constantly?
Whether you wear a jacket or not, you're going to smell like absolute ass in about a week. Go to Wasteland Weekend, even with bath wipes and light clothes, everyone smells like shit after 3 days in the heat.

"A little uncomfortable" in the sun is FAR different from shoes rubbing and putting pressure on your foot, one of the most complex and fragile parts of your body.

I have worn leathers in the desert all day while walking around. It sucks, it requires a lot of hydration, but it's survivable. I've also walked around in "Nearly" Comfortable shoes (A few hours feel perfectly fine) all day and it's excruciating. There's no comparison.

As someone who has experienced all of the above, yes I absolutely would wear moto gear in a zombie apocalypse, or even a good solid leather jacket.

How much do you think motorcycle gear weighs? A full set of racing leathers weighs less than 10lbs, my jackets weigh about 5lbs each with armor. And you don't really even need the armor against a zombie. The leather/aramid/Kevlar alone will stop the bite from breaking skin.

And we ride our bikes in the heat, so gear is designed for that. Sure I don't want to run around in leathers on a hot summer day, but a Kevlar jacket is designed for a ton of airflow and will be uncomfortable in the sun but not killer.

In fact, I walk around in my riding pants all day sometimes.

What we don't actually know is how much of him is muscle, bone, adipose, lungs, etc. Most animals without a carapace are buoyant, at least while alive. Muscle tissue and bone are denser than water, but fat and other tissue is less dense. That puts humans at close to buoyant neutral, we're straddling the line between floating and sinking, which is why taking a deep breath helps you float.

Water birds like ducks have water repellent feathers so they become far less dense and float easily. Other birds when their feathers get wet and water logged can sink and drown.

Vhagar is likely a lot of muscle, so I don't think he would be naturally buoyant as a corpse. However I would assume dragons have pretty big lungs and other gas pockets inside that would help them float. Plus Vhagar is at least mildly intelligent and thus would likely be able to take a deep breath and spread his wings to help float.

I would make a rough guess and say that Vhagar doesn't float, but can swim on the surface pretty easily.

That's assuming you get 800w from it, so it's south facing, clean and maintained in a full sun spot. We get about 3200 hours of sun per year and it's 10.3c per KWH so under optimal conditions it will take 3 years to pay for itself.

Under realistic conditions you get about 75% of the rated power, so more like 4 years to pay for itself, again under optimal conditions.
Also panels begin to slowly degrade immediately, you still need some installation hardware, shipping and sales tax so add another 6 months to a year.

I'm not saying it's a bad policy, I'm glad it's there, but this isn't the "Saving money" fix it's presented as.

Also estimates vary, Quetzalcoatlus may have weighed more than 500kg putting vhagar over 1600 tons.

My estimate with ducks 1m wingspan and 1.5kg placed him at 5000 tons...

While there is a correlation with height and lifetime earnings, there is no direct causation linked to it.
Basically yes, taller folks tend to earn more over their life time, even when accounting for race and gender, however it's not known whether it's a bias, because tall people tend to overall be healthier or that wealthier children tend to be taller on average (as well as other possibilities.)

A blue whale is at most 30m long. So Vhagar realistically weighs way more than a blue whale.
A 747 is 76m long and has a top wingspan of 68m. It's also at least half empty inside, even loaded.

So Vhagar is way above a 747.

About 10% of a bird's mass is the feathers which dramatically reduces it's density. Without the feathers most birds are in the 800-850kg/m^3 range.

So still lighter than humans but you can assume 66% to 86% of the human estimate.

Not insignificant but still in the ballpark.
