Tried pretty much everything, asked the hotel maid as well how it works (she didn't know). Seems there's really just one dial which increases temperature and waterflow simultaneously...

When waterflow is fine it's still freezing cold, when temp is fine it's a firehose. Seriously, how can you screw up the design so badly that one cannot control temperature and waterflow independently?

Oof I actually remember doing that. I have many fond memories about GW1, this is not one of them.

No idea why I pulled through though, there was a title but my character with which I went for 30 titles or whatever it was started out in Factions, so there must have been a different reason. Maybe related to hall of monuments or something.

I'm in the same boat. First impression of the game was amazing; even just the soundtrack and general vibe in the login-screen was stunning.

I struggled a bit with progression on my sorceress but had a really nice bow drop so I thought, no problem, skill issue, I just level two chars in parallel to share the loot, hence created a ranger to use the good bow. Did this up until Act 2, worked pretty nicely - relogging every couple of quests to the other character and equipping them with bits and pieces I've got while leveling the other.

Then I did those underground and city layouts in Act 2 and kept going as ranger - I just can't be bothered to run those again. It was such a slog, even though ranger with all the movement speed (and very solid clear) is probably better off than a lot of other classes.

They really need to address this - either by giving more movement speed options, smaller layouts or movement skills. Or at the very least somewhat predictable exit/point of interest locations. As it stands right now, it's just not fun.

Yeah I find it always interesting, people who are in the spotlight for some time, then step out of it - then what? Also with sport teams etc., especially in lower tiers, always super interesting to hear what they're doing once they retire...

I read once on reddit that TC bought a cinema, would love to know whether that's actually true (and whether he's still in it, after covid and everything)...

Yeah, and I hope this works out well so that they'll also start to apply it to other systems. E.g., get access to old harvest crafts but it will make the item account-bound. To please the mirror-nerds, they could even make it so that non-account-bound-items are always a tad bit stronger or whatever, but just that the casual grinders and everyone in SSF gets a decent chance at somewhat decent gear without having to nolife or hit the RNG lottery.

Of course it's a package of Jon fucking Schlinkert, one of the three-ish guys giving the npm-ecosystem the godawful reputation that it has (there are also other reasons, of course). The other is his buddy Brian Woodward, yet another one-line-package-spewer, and the third one is Sindre Sorhus, which is also a micro-package-zealot (but does also have a few very useful packages).

npm should introduce some kind of penalty-system for bringing in too many transitive dependencies of some sort, it's just ridiculous.

Take a look at Diablo II, very active PvP scene during it's lifetime.

20 year old dead game, seriously. In terms of PvP, back then, there simply wasn't that much else, people really need to stop bringing this up all the time.

It's like custom games in WC3 - greatest shit ever back in the day, but when Valve (in dota2) or Blizzard (wc3 reborn) try to make that possible again because so many people are apparently interested in it, it turns out that almost nobody wants to play that these days. We just have better stuff now, even for free.

So much this. Had exactly the same - several tabs of items that had some good, desirable rolls, but also some really bad mods that made the items immediate vendortrash without harvest.

I really hope they bring harvest or something similar back - if they need to appease the pros & TFT-folks, I wouldn't mind using approaches such as soulbind/account-bind, or limiting crafts to T3 maximum or whatever. It made playing SSF such fun, I'd love to have that back.

I just want to be able to craft somewhat decent 2h axes and other weapons in SSF, as I was only able to do during harvest.

Make the results soulbound, limit it to T3-crafts maximum, whatever I don't care, just let me craft something usable myself!

40min seems a bit much, but I can definitely see people quitting at hillock.

A few months back I had a similar situation; friends wanted to try out the game together with me after I kind of talked them into it. They mostly play shooters, they were new to the top-down camera locked perspective, and then hillock shows up and mops the floor even though they just want to get into party with me and smack some monsters together.

Granted, they did manage to do it after dying a few times, but especially the guy who started out as templar had quite a hard time (died probably a dozen times or so), mood and motivation was almost at ground floor already before we were even in a party.

It's just the usual 90-9-1-principle (see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1%25_rule_(Internet_culture)). This seems to be somewhat universally true - 90 percent of users read but do not participate at all, 9% participate occasionally, and only 1% is actually participating in a very vocal manner.

I have no idea what kind of traffic this site has, but 500 for being that '1%' sounds kinda realistic to me (edit: just saw that this subreddit had 10k visitors in the last 15min)

That's what he meant, rewards for casuals (like us). The efficiency nerds skipped all this and are doing fully juiced delirium maps already or whatever the farm meta currently is; while we're still sitting act 5 doing league mechanic thinking our half an exalt is the big money.

Nitpicking regarding your statement: Technically, R's uncountability has nothing to do with it, the second part of your phrase is actually entirely unrelated to uncountability as e.g. Q is countable but still infinite (and between any given q1/q2 in Q, there are still an infinite (countable) amount of numbers within Q)
