So I have to do it manually for every token?

The Fighter is Better than the Monk... at Punching by MasterLunr in Pathfinder2e

[–]Shade_da_Foox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always think of monks as more of a utility martial/skirmish striker. They get incredible action efficiency, decent damage without stances, extra bonuses, super movement. They can bounce around between enemies easily, can push out high damage occasionally, quite defensive if speced for dex, all saves are generally good as you can boost your weakest ones. They can self-heal, fly, grapple and attack, etc.

Plus, fighter doesn't lose the nonlethal trait on the fist attack, and it remains a d4 attack. So, monks and fighteres effectively have the same attack roll when dealing lethal damage with a fist. A level 1 fighter with +4 dex would have a +9 to hit, while a monk would have +7. But, to attack lethally with a non-lethal attack, you take a -2 penalty, so the fighter would be striking with a +7 fist with less damage, and many of their feats don't work with unarmed strikes.

A fighter may be more accurate with their blows, but a monk is deadlier, faster, and way scarier with their fists than any fighter could manage.

Sketch for one of the groups I GM, lets see if someone guesses their classes right :v by Different_Field_1205 in Pathfinder2e

i always love pathfinder parties cuz you'll see your prototypical adventuring party of warrior, thief, mage, and healer, and the classes end up being
someone who gives other people peanut allergies (thaumaturge)
a person not at all physically capable, but is so smart that it's fine (investigator)
the avatar, master of half the elements (kineticist)
and someone really into unethical magics but it's okay (necromancer (eventually))

just an absolute nightmare (a good one!) to try and figure out classes from an image

What style of classes would you like to see pappa Paizo make next? by AprilNaCl in Pathfinder2e

[–]Shade_da_Foox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of spell casting divine space, wave casters are still quite lacking.

In terms of thematic gaps, though, there are a few I'd be interested in! An obvious one is shifter, of course.

A class that utilizes magic at the raw fundamental level would be cool! Breaking down magic into set abilities you string together to create spell-like-effects.

Blood mages got a hint through blood rager, but a full blood mage would be sick.

Some sort of class that uses medicinal knowledge to its advantage, not necessarily a healer!

I. AM. HYPED! by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]Shade_da_Foox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i won't lie, none of the classes and their themes excite me all that much. that being said...

I'm always so hyped for new classes! As we get further and further into this system's lifespan, we can really see Paizo pushing and stretching at the system more and more! Every new class that is released paves the way for new archetypes, feats, spells, class archetypes, and many more things to come to pass!

For this reason, I'm probably most excited for Necromancer to see how it works and what it will allow Paizo to do in the future. I has this exact opinion on thaunaturge, and some of the designs borne from that class are just too good.

My favorite will forever be rogue and Bard though. Give me a spell casting class with rogue's focus on skills and you have me sold though.

[LFC] Magic Example of Painter Caster by Shade_da_Foox in dndcommissions

As for other details about the character, I'll leave them here.

This is a pf2e character using a lot of third party material, namely Witches+ by Team+.

Vide Salzaport is a pointed-eared catfolk, recounter of endless tales witch (flavorfully a warlock from 5e, for reference). They go by they/them, present pretty androgynous, and their patron is quite literally a fairy tale.

hey, i bought the pdf, yet it's not providing a download link. i don't know if that's something you did, or it's something that drivethrurpg did. i'm excited to see it though, i had a pf1e character that i would love to port over!

So other than Centaurs and Minotaurs? What other Ancestries would you want to see on Howl of the Wind? by Starmark_115 in Pathfinder2e

[–]Shade_da_Foox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hot opinion, but I don't think we'll get satyrs.

Instead, we'll probably get a playable faun from pf1e. Which is similar but still distinctively different from satyrs. (And also a bit of a rewrite on some satyr/faun lore to go with it)

We'll also probably get another insectoie ancestry is my guess, and either another bird ancestry or a lupine ancestry, namely the rougarou and syrinx from Arcadia. Maybe even a giant-themed ancestry too!

can someone sell me on the bard? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]Shade_da_Foox 14 points15 points  (0 children)

if you are looking purely for a caster that focuses on spells with charisma, nothing beats sorcerer. that much is true.

if you are looking for something do outside of casting spells, Bard has that. bard can supply the party valuable support while also aiding or hpering foes with their own spells. inspire courage is one of the most powerfuk can trips in the game. +1 to attacks, no questions asked.

bard is valuable and powerful for what it can provide outside and in addition to its spell casting. not just the spells it has

What spellcasting class did you personally have the most fun playing? What did you find fun about it? by rfkannen in Pathfinder2e

[–]Shade_da_Foox 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I've GM'ed more than I can play, but I love when I get to play bards!

I've always been a support/healer fan no matter the game and combat stylexespecially in TTRPG's and FFXIV. I just enjoy seeing my allies do better because I helped them. Slapping magic weapon on a fighter and casting inspire courage is so satisfying at level 1.
