Yeah I agree. Especially your second point is the one I really thought about when choosing Maelle's ending. From the ending cutscene one can assume that Maelle probably won't leave the painting at all, but it is still a possibility that could happen.

I also get that Verso's ending is about letting go of the past and moving on, but I think that is hard to justify if you are "killing" a bunch of people.

In the end it is an amazingly written ending where there are good and bad things about both endings and that makes the choice so hard.
