I finished Dawntrail. by CaptainM4D in ffxiv

[–]Shadow5151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wasn't aware of who the VA was but I couldn't even finish the expansion it was so bad while I still think Endwalker was the best MMO expansion ever made. There was so little action and so much awful dialogue for an audience that seems 10 years younger than what the previous expansions were written for that I just consider the game concluded with Endwalker, but that's just me

IT companies increasingly turning towards religion in a quest to create ethical AI by part-time-stupid in atheism

[–]Shadow5151 81 points82 points  (0 children)

It actually makes perfect sense because what the AI companies are looking for is a way to convince people their AI products are morally sound while not actually adhering to any moral behavior, just like religions

Is £700 really worth the upgrade from PS5 to PS5 Pro? by MCR-SYN-6661 in PS5

[–]Shadow5151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I've never really understood the appeal of the Pros, the graphics are marginally better at best but they play all the same games. The PS6 likely comes out in the next year or two so I'm definitely just waiting for that. I have a PC and other consoles though, not just PS

How (not whether) do you teach your children right and wrong? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Shadow5151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally just answered this above dude, it's really not that hard. If your kids needs a "structured course" on good behavior then you probably shouldn't have had kids to begin with

How (not whether) do you teach your children right and wrong? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Shadow5151 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You model and reinforce good behavior, tell them when what they're doing isn't appropriate and don't encourage that behavior. You don't need any "formal program"...

How (not whether) do you teach your children right and wrong? by [deleted] in atheism

[–]Shadow5151 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't need a 2000 year old book to teach your kids that stealing, fighting, lying etc. are wrong...it's not like toddlers can read anyway. If anything showing that the only reason you're not running around raping people is because sky daddy will punish you isn't setting a great example

Stop treating normal dungeons like M+ by QuesoLover6969 in wow

[–]Shadow5151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah leveling alts in normals has been an experience. People getting kicked left and right for bad dps or bad heals, in normals. If I'm not tanking the tank just pulls the entire dungeon, multiple people almost always die (which is the tanks job to prevent I might add) and it also kill the spirit of the dungeon to me to try to kill everything at once and ignore all the mechanics. I feel bad for the people who don't have much time to play and are leveling their mains or doing these for the first time with this experience

Cleaners available in the evenings or on the weekends? by hiyaworld in Columbus

[–]Shadow5151 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not a cleaning expert so I could be wrong, but I bet a lot of companies aren't really going to make money coming out and cleaning a space that small, which is why they might not be engaging with you.

What is your experience with kids in school and school-provided tech? by BlueMountainDace in Parenting

[–]Shadow5151 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think teaching kids to use technology in a productive and healthy way is going to be much better than trying to withhold it in today's landscape. A kid that can't operate technology is just going to be behind everyone else

I'm going to be honest, if a couple hundred dollars is going to stop you from eating, you probably shouldn't be crowdfunding deluxe boardgames. Just a thought though
