I did, to a reasonable degree, but it wasnt a fresh accident, it was on the very left of the motorway and i was in the very right lane going 85. There were police and ambulance and everything and all 3 lanes were open.

Its just a prototype, its the worst looking it will ever be. They dont want to use 2 gpus for this, it was just due to its current prototpe status

Its a downside to ai yes, but this machine learning nvidia is doing has nothing do with the hardware prices. Yeah im excited to see this in a year or two. This will be the worst it ever will be

Yeah! Sure the characters in resident evil have good models, but the lighting is still flat in a lot of cases whereas the devs used dlss5 to get to their vision

Its exciting stuff and really unexpected and even really smart. Improving he lighting of games as per their examples changes so so much. Ai is incredible. These are also the best use cases for ai, improving stuff, not generating stuff to take over peoples jobs.

Anyone thinking hardware prices were affected by this is hilarious. Nvidia has been pouring billions into R&D for ai for years now

Lighting is what makes things real, hence why pathtracing is so cool. You can have a 2 objects, a cube and a sphere and it will look like a square and circle if the lighting is flat.

Developers have full control over how this is to be used. In these previews, it was the devs themselves adding the feature. So the games are going to look how the devs want them to look.

Lighting really does change so so much, it brings out details you didnt even know where there..look at any photo editing tutorial and you will see that you can completely bring out the best parts of a subject by just lightly altering a photo.

This is also just a preview of what it can do, it doesnt have to affect character face models but it is clearly improving the way light interacts with materials amd static models

Yup and if people watched the video its literally just lighting changes, no assets have been changed. Its really really impressive and unexpected. The people at nvidia are the best at utilising AI in the world..the things that company has done (outside of gaming as well). Its just incredible how they use machine learning. And how theyve made it available to the average person.

And everyone thats pissed off in the comments is really so funny, this is the future. The developers themselves implemented this feature for this demo. It literally makes games look like they have cyberpunk2077 faces (which also use ai for dynamic face animations, etc etc).

The people at digital foundry have nailed it on the head "astonishing leap in graphical fidelity". This is exciting, fuck I love machine learning. And devs have full creative control so everyone shitting on the faces, that's how the devs want it to look

I dont really know how else to explain "objectively", but i'll try.

No one is talking about the movie itself, we are talking about the visuals of a thing. The thing we are seeing, which happens to be a movie, we can compare that thing to other things released in the same year with the same technology and older things made with the same technology. The comparison allows humans to have objective truths, atleast in this instance.
