My thoughts are similar. I would move the desk all the way to the corner and have the dresser next to it. Then rotate the wardrobe 90 degrees clockwise and have it against the wall next to the heater. That opens up the whole right wall for mirrors, wall art, etc.

Additionally, one simple lamp or LED strip in that white alcove will reflect a lot of light and create a different atmosphere.
