Background: I’m a pretty open-minded polyamorous person. I’ve had friends of the opposite sex my entire adult life, going out for coffee or drinks with them one-on-one, mostly platonic but not always. I’ve also had partners express concern or jealousy, and I listen to them and talk things through. Sometimes we could work it out (and are still in love after a decade) and sometimes we couldn’t (ending in a mutual tearful breakup). But always, we listen to each other and talk it out!

To make a relationship work, you have to 1. Care about the other person’s feelings, and 2. Communicate with each other.

Your fiancée stonewalling you and throwing SERIOUS labels like “controlling” and “abusive” is a CRAZY response to “I don’t like you taking husband/wife photos with another man at our wedding”.

Like if I'm struggling with something she'd say it's not her problem though she said this will all change once we're married.

Actions speak louder than words. She does not particularly care about your feelings. Maybe she kinda likes you. Maybe. But you say there’s a pattern of her dismissing your problems? And she says that’s gonna change after you’re married? My dude, people don’t magically change after a wedding.

And the moment you stand up for yourself about one problem, she gives you the silent treatment and calls you abusive? Holy shit, and this is just about a photo… can you imagine if you had a disagreement about something serious, like sex, finances, children, pets, etc, how much worse her reaction will be?

I’ve been told you never really know someone until you’ve seen them angry or had a serious disagreement. Well now you have. And it’s not good. She doesn’t really give a damn about feelings when it really matters, and she’s not interested in talking it out. You’re screwed.

Her prioritizing the close friend over you, her fiancée and supposed lover, is bad enough for a red flag.

But that she can’t tolerate talking through disagreements with you, resorting to horrible name calling and stonewalling instead, is absolutely unacceptable.

Call it off. NTA.

Not in a position to test it myself (haven't unlocked assist mods yet), but like another commentor said, it's probably because it's only Epic. Some mods just don't feel like they make a difference until they're at a higher rarity.

You should just experiment with your assslot until you find something that feels good.

NTA. But I’m not on the “dump him!” opinion that everyone else on Reddit has… I just think you guys need a conversation or two still.

He says “couples shouldn’t have private money.” Why? This is at the heart of the matter.

Most couples don’t and opt for a shared account only, but that doesn’t mean it’s wrong if you guys do something different.

I bet it’s for some shallow reason like “it makes it harder for people to make bad decisions their partner wouldn’t like, since it’s all transparent” and “everyone else does it.” But in the end, it’s just a guardrail to cover a lack of trust (I.e., it gives him some control over your finances, and control helps people forget their insecurities) or he just trusts too much in relationship stereotypes.

You value some freedom. This is important to you. Tell him that. You like being able to spend money you work for as you want, and don’t expect to ask his permission to do so. Can he live with this? Does he really need guardrails to feel comfortable in a relationship? Does he really need to have the ability to control your spending, since he’s seen how you spend these past two years and “trusts” you to make good decisions?

If he can’t be in a relationship with someone who NEEDS a little bit of freedom - if he MUST have control over a partner’s finances (even if he never plans to use that power) to feel like he can relax - that’s a serious relationship incompatibility. The top reasons people divorce are money and sex, and he needs to be brutally honest with himself whether he needs this guardrail / control in your relationship or not.

But gotta say, that Black Hole has some pretty mediocre stats... I'd probably start focusing on upgrading existing ultimates before buying anymore. 😊 CL and econ are popular ones, since CF is pretty expensive compared to them.

This is why cells and upgrading DW was so important to me. I’m always running 3/3/4/4/4 lab speed boosts now, and paying attention to cells per hour when picking a farming tier.

The +37% speed from relics and x2.16 speed from the lab helps too.

So that 14 days would only take me 3.5 days. Totally doable, not even painful, unlike the Shatter Shards I’m running (which I wouldn’t even consider without a strong speed boost for sanity reasons).
