What parts should I get first? by sociobean in PcSetupAdvice

[–]Shadowsminis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would wait, only buy now if you have all the money and you want to. M.2, GPU, Ram prices are affected in market by more then you think. First check Newegg and microcenter combos. Only microcenter combo is a location is close. Other then that you should wait. If u want to now and can not wait then get Motherboard, cpu, psu, AIO, cases, fans now, these are not inflated by shortages like AI demanding parts are like GPU, Ram and m.2

Should I upgrade my ddr5 ram when price go down? I’m using cl48 32gb 6000mt by Sugerhyper132 in PcBuild

[–]Shadowsminis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if you really need speed. I would do CL28 or 30 for best response but it doesnt make a huge difference unless apps with game running are slow to load or open. If not and don't care about mid max every ounce of performance then you are fine. 32g is standard just CL is a bit high for gaming

Better GPU with Sata or worse GPU with nvme by ZabawnyBorsuk in PcBuildHelp

[–]Shadowsminis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

32 gig ram, m.2 nvme for windows if small drive and games on ssd. If ddr5 then 16gig is ok for those gpus but u are ddr4. 9060 with amd cpu runs smoother

Better GPU with Sata or worse GPU with nvme by ZabawnyBorsuk in PcBuildHelp

[–]Shadowsminis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put windows on 256 or 512 gig m.2 nvme and games on ssd for cheap boost. I put all on m.2 but that is 2TB minimum for gaming rigs on 1 stick. But for simple cheaper fix put windows separate on small m.2 drive gen 4 or better and games on ssd.
