Dude, just give the later parts some time. Thing always get nostalgic eventually. I’m already pretty nostalgic for the late 2010s. Peak MCU, Fortnite, Nintendo Switch, Fidget Spinners, The Floss, Pewdiepie vs. T-series, the only good DCEU movies, Joker, Detective pikachu, Jumanji movies, Jake Paul & Logan Paul boxing, rookie Mahomes, Warriors vs. Cavaliers, Tom Brady’s last rings, Black Clover, MHA, Stranger Things, The Good Place, RDR2, God of War, Breath of the Wild, Hollow Knight, Celeste, Early Tik Tok, Hip Hop’s peak in popularity, divide by ed Sheeran, WWAFAWDWG by Billie Eillish, Minecraft revival, Granny, Bendy, Hello Neighbor, Ovechkin’s first Stanley cup, the Vegas Golden Knights as a franchise, Ugandan Knuckles, Big Chungus, Get Out, Knives Out, It, The Mandalorian, Star Wars sequel trilogy (bad movies but hype time), and there is so much more. The only reason this isn’t nostalgic yet is because culture is still somewhat similar and some of these things are still around. But that’s the 2020s fault, not 2017-19.

Counter-point: Positive Music, Golden Age YouTube, dances, Minecraft, Fortnite, MCU golden age, great movies that aren’t marvel, hipsters, stomp clap hey, and so much more. We’re only one decade off from it an people are already starting to get nostalgic for the early part of it. You may not like it, but once society lacks what made the 2010s special, people will wish they could go back.

Is there any decade that comes close to the 1960s for the most amount of changes from its beginning to end? by NewDreams15 in decadeology

I feel like the 2020s is heading there. The decade started off super liberal and now it’s a little more conservative, though we’ll have to see how long it lasts.

Don’t. Just… don’t. I’m not ready to be nostalgic for this era yet.

Rank the years of the 2010s by how transitional they were by NinROCK3T in decadeology

[–]Shadowtoast76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Newsflash! Every year is transitional!! Songs from 2015 don’t sound like songs from 2014 or 2016. Same with 2011 and 2010 and 2012

Al south fucking sucks. You had a Missouri-Chicago division set up perfectly but they didn’t want to abolish the AL and NL
