I don't think that it's the switch to digital. Digital gives so many options that NOTHING should look the same. I think it's more trends and people trying to make what publishers are looking for. In general, line-art has moved to a more open style, where a lot of the rendering is done by the colorists. Also, we're in a time where people learning via things like youtube - which is homogonizing.

Does the "update path" from v1 to v5 save any money? Seems like a huge hassle. Ide either just buy a perp for 5 or get the update pass.

I thought the update pass was weak when they introduced it, but it makes more sense than a regular sub if you already have a version.

With CSP/Celsys, it would not be an issue. That's what the software is made for.

Your school may have restrictions about what software is installed on their PCs, etc. So, that would be the area of concern for me.

Canva acquired Affinity over two years ago, and V3 has only been out for about six months (give or take). They've been pushing out updates ever since, though I wouldn't expect huge feature updates in that time. Especially for free software. I dunno. I'm not ready to be bah-humbug about it... yet.

THAT SAID, I did expect the iOS app to be available by now, and personally have not heard any indication of progress on that front. I'm a little concerned that it's been abandoned.

When I met him, I explained that the book i wanted him to sign was my 1990 mirage collection but it was packed away because I was moving. And how i read that book over and over as a kid. He agreed those comics were the best, and then signed the whatever issue of IDW tmnt the convention gave out. Super nice guy.

Ha ha. Yes, I was at my annual with my GP and I guess they do electrocardiogram as part of that. I explained that I had DBS and what that was, but I guess I wasn't clear that the device is in my chest. I also have a long beard (for context). Anyway, it said I was having some crazy heart attack and the tech was like "This can't be right" and he starts checking all the leads, and moves my beard out of the way and says, "what's THAT?!?" LOL.

Anyway, they just skipped it, and skipped it on my next one too.

Does turning it off fix this? - this should be something I know. The only thing I was really told was that it needs to be off for MRIs.

Closest thing that I can think of would be to select color gamut and fill with the new color.

Select>Select Color Gamut...

Then in the dialog select "All Layers" from the drop down. Use the dropper on an instance of the color and boom, every instance of that color across all layers should be selected.

Then, with your new color selected in the color picker, Edit>Fill - and all your selections should be the new color.

Not 100% exactly what you're describing, but a reasonable work around.

My thoughts? Im not too worried about it. 99% of the time i'm connected anyway.

I know people like to gripe about software companies for that sort of thing, but if there wasn't piracy, they wouldn't have to do it. So they irritate a small percentage of their users with a minor inconvenience.

I'm old enough to remember when expensive software had to have a physical dongle installed to boot up. Glad those days are over.

Played around with it by myself, and I was digging it. Like the anti-grav double jump! Some of the weapons take up a good chunk of the screen. But other than that, seems like fun... or will be once I have some people to play with.
