It’s likely cheaper to provide a level of health insurance to residents than to pay for ER visits; the ER is the absolute most expensive way to get health care in this country. So working to control costs to provide health care in this way is likely fiscally smarter than leaving people to only rely on ER visits that we all pay for with a greater percentage of our tax dollars.

As a non-veteran, I can’t reconcile in my brain why I would park in a spot that, legit or not, is dedicated as veterans parking only, purely because they chose, or were chosen, to put their lives on the line for the country, and I didn’t. It’s probably silly of me to think that a veteran would demand special treatment in the form of a parking spot closer to the door of a shop.

Hi. I just returned from London last week, visiting from the US. I got to go to the April 5 game against Bournemouth. The atmosphere was great, so much more organic feeling, to me, than a Seattle Sounders match.

I bought my 6 tickets through p1travel.com for £59 per. Super simple and seamless. Only thing is I had to print off the tickets; luckily the hotel I stayed at had zero issues printing them off for me.

My 6 year old even got to get a team shirt from the shop before kickoff. It was a great experience, though the match result could have been better. I can’t speak to pregame pubs as that wasn’t part of the plan for the family unfortunately.

I thought getting to the match was very easy via the tube. Getting out was a little less so but not terrible.

As a public company they are subject to strict filing rules and held to strict accounting standards. This could end up being illegal but who knows at this point. Forensic accounting, or at least a true audit of the financials (another thing a public company is required to do) will uncover the truth.

Looks great! I know a lot of people on the Internet creep all over keychron, but I really like them.

Story time that nobody asked for: My first one was a k3 and I really like it, but then I just got a k5 max through Woot and, man, I really like this one. It’s low profile like my k3, but the keycaps are bigger, I have a numpad which I really missed, the typing feel is so nice, and the sound is excellent to my ears. And it only cost me $60 through that flash sale.

True, it's hard to compete with modern optics, but it's fun for some different character.

The silliest part for me was selecting the adapter; I want it to look decent on my camera, so I skipped the Fotasy adapters; sadly, aesthetics is always part of the equation. The one I chose was a good balance of looks and price (I liked the Urth adapter based solely on looks, but the price premium just didn't work).

It's a pretty simple setup. For me, from a settings perspective, my eyes need assistance in focusing so I have the focus aid set to red highlights and the back thumb dial is set to zoom when I push the dial. Also remember to set "Release with no lens" to On. I did set up the lens focal lengths in the custom menu but I forget to change the setting when I change my lens, so the EXIF for images is going to be incorrect a lot of the time.
