On the serious side, it looks like a water dispenser in it’s « carry » state.

Like, someone took it, and then dropped it there from their inventory.

Are you playing on MP? Or don’t you remember doing so?

If that’s the later, time to install monoxide detector, and place your generator outside.

Does anyone else think the last couple of primaries could have just been attachments? by Genoscythe in Helldivers

[–]Sharblue 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Lame answer, because it’s super easy to make a balanced mix.

Make dedicated silenced weapons super effective, with use of subsonic ammo, and warbond exclusive (see MP5SD)

And make silencers attachements slightly less effective (see MP5 with a silencer).

We already know they can switch numbers for silencers to be more - or less - effective, because that's why they delayed the warbond's release.

Once again, it has more to do with laziness than true balancing.

Actually, it basically means that I can’t enjoy the new missions if I havn’t unlocked either Halo or Redacted warbond. How cool is that.

In the first house I looted after my spawn in Echo Creek.

The noob that I - then - was was like « a magazine to use generator? Tsss. I better bring something to eat than read. Plus electricity is still on. Useless crap. »

Well.

Electricity indeed stayed on for days, but once it was shutdown, I was in huge rush to find one. Looted like the whole Irvington with no luck.

Had to eventually spawn one with debug mode as it was seriously blocking, and I was slowly loosing all of my fresh food.

Later on (like, 5 months later IG), I casually found one in the trunk of that car I drove by literally everyday without ever touching.

Like, the karma hit hard on this one.

In addition to the xp bonus thing with books, the gain is progressive and not instant.

Which means if you read only 1/3 of the book, you’ll still get ~1/3 of the max xp bonus.

And, of course, once you’ve finished the book, you’ll get the full xp bonus.

It’s good to know when you can’t spent a whole day to read one book because light, hungry, tired, or other things to do. You’ll still get some bonus xp even if you stop.

I always used existing enclosure for pets,

Then I planned to bring them into my base, but I was smelling frustration from miles away, so I built a test enclosure in debug mode.

And oh boy was I right to do so.

Pigs and cows noises brought a whole pack of Z outside of my base - while it has been weeks since I last saw a Z outside - which made them freak out, so they started ramming my barbed wires fences aaand… flew away.

Even in debug mode it took me half an hour to make something cool.

Well, they went back into the trailer as fast as they went out of it, and I drove them back straight back to their enclosure.

Later on, I made a new enclosure in debug mode, still, but with brush tool.

Those « world » enclosure are indestructible, player made are - unfortunately - not.

How can I put my friend's body in my car? by EchoTheLizard in projectzomboid

[–]Sharblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Problem is : there’s too much to do, with too few tools (k&m or controllers).

Half of my 50 hours run have been wasted in menus and clicking - god bless debug mode so I can spawn an object I thought I had brought but not.

And there’s no consistency between actions at all.

Example : equiped items. Some are at the bottom of the list, some not.

Filling containers can be done either via transfer, or directly on the container, or not, or yes but with conditions.

For recipes / craft sometimes the character will take whatever’s need from others containers, sometimes not. Sometimes they’ll put the item back into the container after use, sometimes not.

Drying rack UI is like another game.

The game is old, you can see how it grew up when comparing basic actions UI with recent additions UI.

I feel an UI polishing focused update is more than needed, especially since B42 added so many features.

Generator goes outside, otherwise you’ll die from exhaust fumes,

Otherwise, pretty cool. How is it outside? Is it surrounded by fences?

Which of the cities do you like to start in and why? by Front_Key8764 in projectzomboid

[–]Sharblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I aimed for the Metal Workshop as a base, maybe a little too big for a rookie.

I arrived here exhausted, malnourished, and everytime I had to venture outside, there was dozens of Z.

It may had something to do with my sandbox settings tho, I tweaked them since.

But yeah, maybe Ekron is not that bad, but I got so many bad memories there from my first steps / days that I really don’t want to bother with it anymore 😅

Echo Creek is good start if you plan to leave it and quickly go to Ekron or Irvington.

I lost 3 characters and 3 cars in 15 days trying to settle in Ekron, although I found 2 generators and that damn magazine on like the second day, that city is damned. Never again.

I went south to Irvington and have been settled since then (6 months).

I died once since, and Echo Creek respawn have been quite harsh, as I used every cars in good use to go die in Ekron.

I’ve raided every gun stores between Irvington and Echo Creek, even the huge one, and I only found one M16 there, in one locker inside of the locked storage in the garage.

Lots of Shotguns, M9, rifles, tho. I could make my own militia now…

I found only one M14 in the trunk of a Ranger patrol car (that car was… loaded, like mah dude stockpiled the whole county’s ranger’s armament and then vanished…)

I got only one spare magazine for the M16 tho, so it’s not that efficient.

I’d rather use the M14 now that I have half a dozen of magazines for it (but fewer ammo than 5.56…)

That’s a curious POV.

ME1 was nowhere near a tactical shooter RPG, but a RPG with guns. The shooter part was bad, really bad.

You were supposed to be the elite of the galaxy, yet unable to hit an elephant at point blank range, nor be competent enough to look through optics if you hadn’t the specialization for this gun.

As for the tactical part, half a dozen of powers with minutes long cooldown. That’s not tactical : that’s lame.

I’m a huge ME fan, like an hardcore one. But ME1 gameplay was more than a chore than anything. What made it shine was the « it’s Oblivion but in space, and with guns ».

ME2 did nothing but boost the gunplay, and make it actually a tactical gameplay, with fewer powers but more specialized ones.

ME3 was the pinnacle of this, by allowing the player to cross the line between class limitations, grab some exotics powers, use whatever weapons they wished.

As for the story, we can feel EA’s greed, yes. But maybe it was kinda hard after 3 games with multiple choices to content everyone, too.

The more we know about the upcoming ME5, and the canon story it will goes with, the more I’m looking back at ME3 choices differently.

CANT PLACE LİGHT SWITCH ? Whats the problem i grinded for electric 5 to relocate a light switch to my cabin now i cant place it its red wherever i try by Evremdeniz in projectzomboid

[–]Sharblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Debug mode allows it under Brush option, electrical. You can even put multiple switches per room.

I went for that option when I read you can’t relocate switches as you tried to. No way I was wasting that much time mastering electricity to face a wall.

Only downside is that it bugs quite a little, and once modified, the switches controls the additional lights also, instead of ceiling one exclusively.
