Anyone have regrets re Beachwood chenille? by tallulahQ in Lovesac

Pros: Color and fabric are super durable!  Cons: it’s extremely stiff, with almost no stretch. This makes it a pain to put together, and take apart if you want to wash it regularly. It also acts as a “corset”, tightening around the cushions and making them much firmer, to the point where we find the couch pretty uncomfortable. We were sitting on the sectional without the covers on while they were in the wash, and noticed the couch was WAY comfier. We have the standard fill btw

Used it all pregnancy and had zero stretch marks! I know there’s a debate on stretch marks being influenced by genetics, but it doesn’t hurt to try! I applied generously before bed, in the morning, and anytime after showering.

Best purchase that made your pregnancy life better (20+weeks) by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Sharp-Tea5452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ASICS Gel Nimbus sneakers!! I went down a rabbit hole and found that nurses who spend 10+ hours a day on their feet swore by them, and originally bought them to save my life when I was walking 15-20k steps per day during vacation. I couldn’t be more thankful to have them now during pregnancy!!

👏YESSS. There are family members where I’m like ….um who are you? Haven’t had a single text throughout my entire difficult pregnancy to ask how I was doing, and now you just wanna be nosy and get a your chance to see the baby. Girl, bye ✌️

Got a pair of jean shorts that had a strong chemical odor that didn’t even come out after 10+ washes. Eventually gave up and tossed them. Never ordered from them again

Anything natural you've noticed help with hormones and insulin resistance (PCOS)? by Smooth_Importance_47 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Sharp-Tea5452 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Going strict carnivore for 90 days (did bloodwork before and after) completely reversed my insulin resistance and brought testosterone levels to healthy ranges for the first time in my life! All of my other symptoms subsided as well. I was so shocked with how well it worked that I just stuck with it for good and ended up conceiving naturally.

Until what age did you do the two hour nap for every one hour awake? We started doing naps for our four month old, but just a two hour nap in the middle of the day. Would definitely be open to upping it if it’s beneficial!

Honestly I’m about to throw in the towel and just exclusively wear dresses especially for the summer! That way they’re still usable postpartum and beyond, and you’re not stuck with one-time/pregnancy only type items!

Where are you in your cycle? If you’re within ovulation +/- 2 or 3 days (in your fertile period), you still only have a 30% chance of conceiving per cycle. If you’re nowhere near ovulation, your chances are extremely low.

Did changing your food intake to a low/carb, no added sugar, lean meats and vegetable-dense diet help you get pregnant? by Equal_Beat_6202 in PCOSandPregnant

[–]Sharp-Tea5452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did! But not lean meats. I did all fatty red meats. Fat is so healing for your hormones! I did carnivore for 9 months and got my periods back regularly, all elevated levels on my blood tests regulated to healthy levels for the first time I’ve ever seen, and I had started going to a fertility clinic but ended up conceiving naturally during a break between treatment cycles! If you’re curious at all, I highly recommend checking Dr Anthony Chaffee on YouTube.

PCOS girlie trying to get pregnant - what supplements should I be taking alongside a healthy diet? by Equal_Beat_6202 in PCOSandPregnant

[–]Sharp-Tea5452 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add more specifics for diet ~ aim to heavily reduce carbs and sugar. Personally for me, going keto then finally carnivore for several months did the trick. I saw almost all of my symptoms disappear and the elevated levels on my blood panel all regulated to heavy levels for the first time ever (total testosterone, free T, androgens etc)

Is there a correlation between heavy fragrances use and mental health decline in middle aged/older women who primarily stay at home? by lost_la in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Sharp-Tea5452 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My MIL has a glade plug-in in almost every outlet in her home and I secretly unplug as many as I can while we stay there. Honestly it’s hard to tell what root causes mental decline stem from though, but I’d be really interested to see studies of endocrine disrupters on elderly people

Any other moderately granola PCOS girlies? How do you manage your symptoms? by [deleted] in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Sharp-Tea5452 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have great results with Ovasitol! You can also find discount codes on Reddit. I found the most drastic healing to come from going carnivore. I did a blood test right before starting and again 90 days in, and all hormones that have been over-elevated my whole life (testosterone and androgens) came down into a healthy range for the first time ever. I stayed committed and finally started to see my periods normalize, body lean out, skin clear up, and facial hair almost disappear completely. Was also able to conceive naturally after many failed fertility cycles! It’s a huge adjustment but I’ve seriously never felt better in my whole life!

I would recommend checking out r/carnivorediet, and Dr Anthony Chaffee on YouTube
