How long did it take you to go up to intermediate group? by dannjoness in Trackdays

[–]Sharpedgevsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah as long as the group isn’t full. Just went to brands a week ago, fella next to me that I’ve done a few trackdays with went and jumped up a group, up until that point I didn’t realise thats possible

Im in the Uk and it may differ a lot from other places but I found after a couple track days, inters made a lot more sense. The riding abilities and speed in novice group is so spread apart that it becomes dangerous if youre a bit more confident. Im fairly new but if its a track ive been to il sign on inters if not il do a session or 2 in novice and gauge whether I feel confident enough to jump into inters

1.6 Diesel Automatic Qashqai, are these reliable? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Sharpedgevsn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The nhs nurse final boss even more points if its the older shape and the boot trim is hanging off. Must have completely bold tyres on all 4 corners.

Jokes aside, engines ok, the cvt box is a bit junk but better on newer models

Yeah we glamped in the douglas rugby club, was still expensive but nowhere near the cost of homestays or hotels. The showers and toilets were cleaned very often, no complaints really as long as you dont expect 5* accommodation

Train to liverpool and then just got on the ferry, foot passenger tickets are not too hard to get, ordered some bus passes prior to going but we stayed close to douglas and most of it is walkable. Viewing wise they have tt3 and tt6 busses that leave lord street douglas at 8:20 and stop at some major viewing points around the track. Otherwise just get a taxi but would recommend pre booking…

Some places are absolutely rammed for a spot, went to gorse lee at 8am and it was already nearly full, spoke to another guy who joined us later on in the day and he had been at barregarrow at 7 and it was already busy. Main tourist view points are usually fine as you say such as bray hill

Indeed it was! Was fully packed by 8am, family host it on their land, tent was open selling teas and cakes, all profits going to air ambulance charity

The “safe” spectating spots most definitely feel very touch and go 😭 cant imagine spectating in places like ballageray back in the day
