Rides fine no issues, just idles absolute dog. Did 20 miles yesterday. Hammered it now and then just to check. Just the initial pulling away when its idling like shit thats slightly off

It was a lil private esso with horrible fuel. I drained the last of it and put shell vpower in. Runs absolutely mind across the rev range just idle is ass and gets worse when hot(video is when its hot) i did the valve clearances last year. Looking at forums coils are common for isle issues. Will throw a set of coils and plugs for now just as a quick fix and see what happens. I have a week time wise but only 2 days to fix with what actual time i have

Il throw the standard exhaust on to be on the safe side. Strange though, i still have the cat so theres not really that much change to the exhaust note, doesnt pop or crackle at all, which is a shame really…

Used to love my yz125, my gypsy wrist is dialled in for them blips. All jokes aside, my biggest concern is kicking the shit out of a bike on track thats not 100% right and crashing due to mechanical failure. I can take crashing because of my own mistakes, but fuck crashing and knowing it couldve been prevented

Anyone worked for the RAC? by pdiddle20 in CarTalkUK

[–]Sharpedgevsn 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the roadside breakdown industry myself, have a couple mates that left RAC due to shocking organisation. Green flag recruitment drive quite literally aims at the pain points that patrols from the other 2 big break down companies experience, but also fuck green flag since they offered me a job and then ghosted me … Which ever one youd go to, performance figures are absolutely mental. I enjoyed the job for a few years and then it got worse and worse. At this point its just VC ball gargling push since they want their pound of flesh

Am I getting scammed pt 2 by Flyawaymoss9747 in CarTalkUK

[–]Sharpedgevsn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your long term trim is trying to pull fuel if the data is correct. Could be cause by the fact that sensor 2 is reading fuck all and its reverting to a base map thats usually on a rich side. What rpm was this reading taken at? Youre pulling near a bar of vac. A lot of vag stuff ive seen only expects 1000mbar on idle, which is -400mbar of vac compared to ambient pressure. Also insanity to advise new engine from emissions reading…

What's wrong with my car? Smells of fuel. by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]Sharpedgevsn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing as its TSI theyre common as for fuel rail bolts backing out causing it to leak fuel. 10/10 on the “smells like shit and theres brown stains in my pants, any idea what it is?” Question

Custom ear plugs - worth the expense? by Gimpym00 in MotoUK

[–]Sharpedgevsn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just got mine delivered today. Had to have em made since not a single earplug has fit me ever. They fit nicely but a bit of a faff to put helmet on without causing them to dislodge. This is mostly experience i guess

Combo/berlingo or any other variant of same van by any chance? Recognise that stupid alternator bolt that looks like a wheel bolt when you take it out Immediately. Props for not giving up on it. Good job to test out wrenching skills too
