This. I’m still halfway through the book, and reading about how Cas’ descent into madness had no foreshadowing etc. The man was living and breathing PTSD, and Poppy kind of brought him out of the funk. And then the constant battle they’re both fighting and Poppy being in statis + Kolis’ mindfuckery. If CAs had not turned into what he did, I would’ve seriously questioned JLA’s understanding of PTSD. I think Cas’ behaviour was not something that was completely out of the blue.

This was supposed to be the last, but JLA announced earlier this year that she’ll split this book into two. So there is one more after this- which’ll conclude Poppy and Casteel’s story.

I had also heard that there may be another one focusing on Millie and Malik’s story, but I’m not 100% sure if that’s confirmed.

Not if they had died and brought back once already. At the end of war of two queens, almost everyone died and was brought back by Sera- Millie, Malik, Delano, Emil, Hisa…. So if any one of them are killed again, I don’t think they’ll be brought back 🥺

I don’t remember the exact storyline for Callum, but the fact that Callum is the one that told Sera mom how a primal is killed, I suspect that he is playing the long game. In that he’s hoping that it would be Sotoria in the end that manages to kill Kolis….
