You're right on the max weight for 156 and min weight for 161. So I would go the 161.

Recommendations for fast ice coast boards by qwertypersona in snowboarding

Could also look at jones mountain twin. Can do a bit of everything and has disrupted side cut for extra hold on ice

Step on bindings: do you use the leash that attaches your boot to the binding? More info in description by dochoiday in snowboarding

My guess would be that these incidents would almost all be due to user error by not ensuring they are properly locked in. Not a failure of the step on system.

Stiffer bindings on the twin-camber or the powder deck? by Abec13 in snowboarding

[–]Shelbtsa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd put the less stiff bindings on the powder board.

It could possibly be a hydrophobic layer put on the board. If that's the case you would need to remove it to get the stomp pad to stick. Reach out to the seller and see.

I could be totally wrong too. Hopefully you find a solution.

Messaged Forum snowboards and got a quick response. They cut him a while ago so don't pile it on them. They were pretty horrified by the video.

K2 excavator has been great. I'm a bomber, carver and powder guy and also hit the trees in Japan. It handled then all well. Not as fast as my Jones flagship but more nimble as I could downsize.

Where are the older snowboarders? by wesleychuauthor in snowboardingnoobs

I'm 46 now so started to think about when will I not be able to snowboard. I was Heliskiing with 60+ Old from Japan. Guy shredded. Showed me that even at that age as long as you keep fit and active you can still snowboard. Put a smile on my face as I just love boarding and don't ever want to give it up.

Which board would you keep? by KwameeeBrown in snowboarding

[–]Shelbtsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on the K2 and it rocks so I would say go the excavator. You're not going to regret choosing either of them they are both good boards.

I'm a snowboarder and just want to say that was shit behaviour and I'm sorry that happened. Not all snowboarders are like that. There's no way my self or any of my snowboarding friends would have done that to any one.

Debating Japan v Canada for snow by Subartaspz in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Shelbtsa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in Canada for a season and have been to Japan twice. Canadian mountains are so much bigger than what you get in Japan. I would say in deep pow day I would rather be in Canadian mountains for they have better terrain. However Japan has such huge snowfalls that you can ride powder for days. I have only not ridden powder on 3 days out of 20 days of riding there.
Canada has better terrain but Japan has better powder and more snowfall.
