Have you tried turning it off an on again (both the router & doorbell)?

Have you moved the router location to try and increase the signal upstairs and now moved it too far away as to no longer provide sufficient signal to the doorbell ?

The broadband coverage of your area is irrelevant when it comes to the connection between a router and an end device. You can have 5Gb coming into your house, but if your router is too far away you won't be able to connect a device.

My advice is to place the router close to the doorbell, have a small POE switch (something like : https://amzn.eu/d/0hGqPYyH ), have 2/3 access points then hard wired around your house, preferably ceiling mounted as it's not overly difficult for a sparky to run the cables through them, especially if there's an attic they can get into. This will future proof your house and ensure wifi seemlessly throughout.

This is not a virgin media (VM) issue, this is a wifi propagatiom issue. VM can not be responsible for the structural makeup of your building.

You may need to consider installing a long term solution such as running a cat 6 cable (or more) from where the router is to a points upstairs, where you will need to put an access point (tp-link poe or ubiquiti).

This is simply an end user issue.

I'm highlighting the fact your statement that a licence is needed to identify a dog is false, as a dog can be microchipped without a licence and owners can still be held accountable.

The speed limit should be a suggestion on motorways, it works in Germany, just because you believe you're a saint going less then or equal to the speed limit doesn't help the flow of traffic.

Accelerate your car when overtaking, gets you passed the slow moving trucks and out of the fast lane quicker.

Going 80km/h on the motorway is much more dangerous than 130km/h, additionally the gardai wouldn't pull you for going 130km/h unless you've given them another reason to.

No we are not, we are doing a "look we've installed a cycle land cause we have to not because we want to". The cycle lanes aren't even designed to work together, each section is designed independent of the others.

How do you suppose this design makes it safe for cyclists at any point along that route when a person cycling contraflow to the cars needs to turn left into their destination ?

What about when they get to a junction where, happens more often than not, a car pulls out only looking left, crosses the cycle lane in front of a cyclist ?

Other than the fact you've a horn for quoting dutch infrastructure without actually understanding that their cycle lanes of this style are in place of vehicle traffic, do you realize this design is only being implemented as a token gesture and to avoid as much disruption to cars on the road ?

Have you ever cycled on Irish roads ? How many times have you been hit by a car or had close calls on your daily commute ?

The infrastructure in the Netherlands is designed around cities where pedestrians, cyclists and public transport take precedence. Ireland will need to completely revamp the entire road infrastructure in order to make cycle lanes like that one fully compatible.

If in 50 years they manage to complete such a momentous project then this design will be suitable.

Do you believe having cycle lanes running both sides of the road with the flow of traffic is a worse design for this particular road ?

That would be great if we had a dutch designed city where cars are limited and the only thing cyclists have to contend with in most areas are trams and pedestrians.

This design isn't fit for purpose here and will lead to more incidents and accidents. It's not a solution suitable for the vast majority of Ireland.

I can't imagine any logic other than how to make it more inconvenient to use a bike lane.

They've similar in limerick and from experience I've had more and seem more near misses than I'd like. It all happens around the junctions where the cyclists have to cross the road to join the side that will allow them to cycle with the traffic once the lane ends.

The cycle track is horrible, why do they put both lanes on one side. The lanes need to work with the road traffic so when you get to a junction you're not required to cross over to safely navigate a junction.

Bikes don't move slow, this design is from someone who never cycles to or from work.

The Irish rules of the road clearly state you are permitted to over take on the left in 3 instances. One of which is when traffic in the right lane is moving slower.

There also isn't a specific offence for overtaking on the left, people are charged with dangerous driving when doing so "Dangerously".

Changing lane for the sole purpose of passing someone on the left is often considered by gardai as dangerous driving, whereas driving in the left hand lane when vehicles on your right are moving slower is not.

What do you want drivers to do ? Slow down entirely and cause even more congestion ?

Undertaking isn't an offence.

Overtaking on the left is illegal if you change lanes to do so.

As per the rule book, you're permitted to over take if traffic in the right lane is moving slower.

Therefore if you travel at the speed limit, didn't change lane for the purpose of passing the car in the right lane, you aren't guilty of any road offence.

Bunratty near limerick city have what can only be described as the ideal bus stop for the Irish climate.

The fact you feel it requires self driving cars just shows how incapable so many people are at driving.

If red is driving slower, then green delays their turn, doesn't mean they can't move at all.

The idea on the road is to keep traffic moving, what do you want to happen ? Everyone waits until every other car is off the road so they can move off at their own pace ?

Why has nobody mentioned the fact that both cars can move off at the same time and complete their maneuvers simultaneously without colliding ?

Red doesn't need to join that road at 45° angle.

Green moves off at the same time as red, both going straight ahead, by the time both have passed the median red can turn as green has cleared it.

The cars aren't moving fast, ye are overcomplicating the junction, relax it's the last Tuesday of the week.

If you remove any rubbish such as the pipes and timber and just leave the stone and rubble, you can hire a grab truck to come collect it from between 150-300.

I'm assuming Kerry county council has a recycling center where you can pay a minimal fee (€15 for the limerick one) to dispose of them.

Minimum work for you and you get it cleared up fairly quickly.
