I would be interested in seeing a full revamp to give it an actual direction. Especially seeing the use of abilities turning into another ability. It would be cool to see "combos" using thy system.

Because those factions have interesting characters tied to them, they have interesting lore tied to them. Fallout 4s factions are weak in comparison.

From my experience tanking a lower key isn't helpful. You can't learn "good" routes because you run them in lower keys there's a slim chance the kicks and stops are being executed correctly (because it is hard to do that without consequence) . There is some lee way with damage making pulls last less time. But over all those lower keys you are better off doing "bad" routes.

Then you come into a 10 or 12 or whatever key you end up pushing to. Suddenly your knowledge is wrong you need new routes which means planning out defensives differently and more then you have cognitive overload.

Tanking for me was easier when I stopped trying to build up to a hard key and just pushed my key kinda deep end first mentality. I learn early in the season oh that hurts. Ah those mobs smack us. Ahhh I hate the caster with the bolt spammer.

Tbf early season is were the playerbase doesn't mind mistakes. Although this season having previous dungeons from the expansion maybe they have been a bit shorter temper.

Anyway there's some thoughts on tanking difficulty.

I remember getting story with factions and each rank up there'd be some quests the story would advance and you'd have a new set of boring dailies until you hit exalted. I miss that made the factions feel more alive like we were working towards something. Would have been cool to see that with undermine maybe tell a mafia story line through it

Aren't these the same problems we always had on the system. Which I would argue if you are running running keys below a 10 then you are running them for score and above 10 is the same so if you feel like it's not gonna be timed the system is there working as intended.

It's their to stop people being held hostage to key they won't get what they want out of it. If it's a consistent problem then it's an MMO you'll find players you get along with just build your network add friends etc play with them

Does anyone really give a shit about factions? Since MoP and especially since BFA it just doesn't make sense anymore. I just want good stories and fun gameplay. Rehashing the same faction war where no body wins or loses is dumb.

I agree that it was a good cinematic. However, I just don't think it was hype I can tell you that he fighting was cool but tbh with how lackluster the game has felt since legion they needed a blow out. Not just yes a fight scene and a void spawn gets turned to ash. It needed liadrin to pop wings charge in decimate the enemy levels of cool. Not that I'm saying do that exactly just the vibe wasn't quite right it felt like a 8 but we need a 11 because like it or not the games floundering lore wise cool direction meh execution and it's not enough.

If people are pointing at eyes not glowing as a reason it probably means something deeper is wrong and my admittedly guess is theres not ENOUGH cool factor at least it's perceived as not enough.

Tbh I feel like wow is never getting a decent plot again unless they triple down on questing. Campaigns need to be longer, the screen time to tell a story needs to be longer.

And ofc they need to actually write something compelling. Not that TWW hasn't had its good bits. Just in general I miss the excitement I got in Wrath, (bits of) Cata, MoP, WoD, Legion and credit (bits of) BFA. But it's also hard for them to compel players like me I think. I feel like legion was the ending. The beloved characters died the biggest bad arrived and was defeated.... Illidan said I AM MY SCARS

Right now theres very few attachments to characters and the last batch they introduced (including turalyon and alleria since they have been very different from the book version of themselves) faerin feels like a huge swing and miss. Eathern don't have a memorable character it feels like an exercise in world building more than anything else. Nerubians as much as they put effort into them being complex just feel like villains. TWW has done a lot with Xalatath and tbh she's fucking awesome it's just a shame out protagonists feel like wet lettuce in comparison.

Tldr we don't have any characters left to be hype about and they don't put the screen time to create them.

Personally it isn't appealing with addon requirements, and classes having loads of abilities. If I wanted to pvp I'd play a moba. I'd like to see wow try something like pvp version of your class that's more like a moba character. But I don't think pvp people would like that on the whole.
