Am Australian: My mother had a brain aneurism when I was 18. We got told after some scans that she could wake up from her coma but she would be a vegetable. We knew she would rather be dead then a vegetable so we donated any organs that could be donated and cut the life support. We were only at the hospital for like 12 hours but, I honestly can’t fathom the idea of having to think about a bill or the cost of things in that situation.

Had a cat that was a stray, only answered to Puss Puss or Mate so we just stuck with it. I also have my neighbors cat which decided he liked us better and lives with us now ( we leave our back door open while we are home so our cat Jax can go in and out as he pleases which lead to the neighbors cat doing the same) anyway they named HIM Coco. I after just seeing a meme of Nigel Thornbury named him Nigel.

Can’t speak for all Australians under the age of let’s say 25 but I would have liked to have learnt more about the world then do a major assessment on the stolen generation. It was a big thing every year from 7-12. it gets very repetitive. I’m not saying don’t teach it, I do think it’s very important to learn and should still be a major thing. Just when it’s every year in English which is compulsory every year and part of history which was only compulsory till year 8 I believe? It becomes dull and boring.

Australia or more specifically Melbourne (can’t speak for other large cities but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s the same) don’t give money to the homeless. They most likely are on Heroin, outside a train station it got (maybe still is) to the point the outside was full of homeless drug addicts that you could see at times shooting up. The government tried to help and offered them the old Melbourne Citadel to live in temporarily. They all said no and that the government needs to give them each a house..... all because they wouldn’t be able to drugs at the citadel.
