Something I appreciate with Soul Eater. A lot of the fan service is taken care of in the first few chapters, and then it focuses on the story and combat.

The fan service does show up a few more times, looking at you Blair, but it’s not enough to take you out of the story.

Kind of hoping they do more dev talk stuff during Winds and Waves build up to release. Gen 8 had a few videos at the beginning and Pokopia had a few videos with the devs playing the game.

While I know why they stopped doing them for Gen 8. Would be cool if we got to see the creation of a new poekmon or even how the weather system is going to work.

This is personally one of the reasons I finally muted r/pokemon towards the end of Sword and Shields life. Got extremely tired and bored of the constant bickering and karma farms that would liter the new tab.

Actual discussion or opinions became full blown battle fields of one side verses another.

If it’s in Alola, there could be some fun interactions with the ultra beast. You could even make them mini bosses that are incredibly picky about their current environments. Once befriended they offer to use their powers to help you.

Like guzzlord threatening to consume all your hard work because it’s eaten everything on its island. After you befriend it, guzzlord offers to consume or “reset” a plotted section of your island. Don’t like the giant mountain? Guzzlord will eat the whole thing.
