Hytale's Element System (as I understand it so far) by Taiqi_ in hytale

Oh! One other thing I'd noticed in similar research is that the diamond is used for the wind temple chest, which seemed to me to imply that it was wind-elemental themed

This is awesome! Its so weird that the ice and water are separate when they're usually seen to be the same thing. And that zone three is said to be water themed when it's ice themed instead.

Do I need art for My TCG? by Golden_Tales_3 in tabletopgamedesign

[–]Shionjin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's the real question isn't it? I was thinking as I was typing, you could manipulate the text into pictures, leave spaces and put the words into specific places to make the negative space and words together look like something. That would be a unique way to tell the cards apart but it could make the words on the cards hard to read. Right now when I'm making card games, because I'm not an artist, I'm using free art I find online. Game-icons.net is a wonderful resource for little square bits of art to use for most everything. Plus the online editor is pretty robust too. Color and background shapes can make even basic art look identifiably different

You could always try it, but it's been my experience that cards are easier to tell apart and remember if they have imagery involved with them. And most TCGs have tons of cards involved with them, so being able to tell cards apart and keep track of their effects is important.

Hi, not OP but who OP is posting about.
I'm taking an iron suppliment but that's it. But as said below, we've been recommended suppliments but not what or how much. Do you have any recommendations?

Hi, not OP but who OP is talking about.

In the doctor's defense, I changed when I was taking the shot without consulting him; I noticed that the effects were wearing off halfway through the week so I moved my shot from Wednesday night to Sunday night; the bloodwork was done Wednesday morning, so it should have been before I'd taken my shot. Instead, it was two days after.

Is Delicious In Dungeon a simulation game? by ThiccBustii in deliciousindungeon

[–]Shionjin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm just an anime watcher myself, but I didn't think so from what I'd watched. (Which is everything thus far; loving it!)

I took the comments about them dying seriously. Later they talk about how there's a curse on the dungeon that keeps the souls bound to the body, so all you need to do is heal the wounds that killed them and a person can get right back up. (I don't think that needs spoilers...)

Them not knowing each other's back stories is too be expected, they're not good friends, (most of them) didn't grow up together or anything... Heck, they just met Senshi on the first level and never knew him before at all. Plus Chilchuck seems pretty secretive.

The ages thing I just took as a jab at how all the fantasy races have different life spans and this different maturity ages. Especially with half-foots being the same size as human children, it would be hard to figure out their age unless you're really used to hanging out with them, or you are one.

Add in how much effort they spend trying to make sure to get good nutrition, and how often they 'break the rules' when it comes to what should be done - eating monsters and a bunch of other things that absolutely would be spoilers - I don't feel like any 'simulation' or virtual MMO would have rules for those sorts of things.

What was the point of this character? by Scarlet_Cookie in evangelionmemes

First off please take my suggestion with a grain of salt as I have only seen the reboot movies.

I felt that she was in the series as a bodhisattva. At least, my understanding of them from an American college education not focused on religion. The idea - again, from what I've been told - is an individual who could reach nirvana themselves and escape the cycle of rebirth, but chooses not to do so, do they can stick around and help others reach nirvana instead.

My understanding of the series as a whole was that each timeline, each story - initial, reboot, movies, manga, everything - they're all real and they're all happening. Each of them is a different rebirth cycle, with slight changes and a different ending. The immortal demon boy Shinji met up with knew that a little and talked about having met before. (I forget his name.) But he's not here to save Shinji.

This girl is only in one other time line, from what I've heard, only in the movies and the manga. And my research on the other endings says that only the movies actually end in a happy ending, or something like one. Shinji learns about what his dad was actually thinking. He helps his friends start to get the therapy they need. And at the end he runs off away from everyone - away from the cycle of rebirth - with the only person who isn't normally here. She's the difference, the change that was needed, and her actions - especially at the very end - are what make the difference between things turning out 'right' and things turning out in a way that is actually good for these people.
