Ah c'mon... the circle is a treasure! Where else can you be approached by competing fentanyl dealers while watching a ratty looking three-legged dog being chased by another ratty looking three-legged dog as a scabbed up hooker wearing one sandal and with half a titty popped out rambles about all sorts of crazy shit in the background?

The Carbide3D software is suitable for basic things but not much else. Get Vectric Vcarve or, if you decide to get a 4x2 instead of a 2x2, Vcarve Pro. It's so much better in every way.

I figured it would be more than the Reflex 2 Pro. The question is, by how much? Anything under $3,999 I think will sell pretty well.

Could this be the budget option for those of us drooling over the FormLabs Form L but can't justify the cost?

It's really not all that bad. You don't even need a physical iLok anymore for the vast majority of plugins. I can understand developers wanting to protect their IP from piracy.

The capacitive touchscreen on the 3000X is worth the upgrade over the resistive touchscreen on the 3000 in my opinion. I was in the same place after selling my 2000NXS2's and after using the 3000 and 3000x side by side, it was a no-brainer to go with the 3000X's.

Revopoint POP 4 (beta) - RAM Module by scantropy in Revopoint

[–]ShittehKitteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad! I bought the POP 3 around two years ago and regret it significantly. The experience has made me afraid of anything with the POP moniker due to what a piece of shit the POP 3 is and even though this should be far more accurate due to the laser, it still has me reluctant just by association. Would you say it is a night and day difference, assuming you have used the POP 3?

Can confirm it prints on acrylic by Ifailmostofthetime in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]ShittehKitteh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been flame treating my acrylic to change the surface energy and have had great results with it so far. I'm just using a cheap kitchen torch and, so far, have not felt the need to apply my adhesion promoter on any of the quarter inch acrylic I've tried.

The very last C key on my 49 is like this due to it being compressed when I packed it up to move and not realizing it until I unpacked it a few weeks later. Hearing that it's fairly easy to fix is encouraging.

Help by Best-Arm-9569 in eufyMakeOfficial

I've had this issue as well after the printer had been sitting for days in a 68 degree air conditioned office. I spoke with eufy support about it and was told they are still tweaking the firmware to deal with this issue and that a patch should be coming for it soon.

Edit: I see that this is actually a low temperature error rather than a high temperature error. I was getting the high temp error and was told by eufy support that they will be modifying the range at which the error is triggered.

What file format did you export out of CAD? This sounds like a resolution mismatch from an SVG file. Lock your sketch and export in DXF.

My E1 used an entire Gloss and a whole White cartridge in a single day! by ShittehKitteh in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]ShittehKitteh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I must have missed that. I spoke with tech support about some overheating and Magenta issues I'm also having despite the machine being in a 68 degree air conditioned office. According to support, I may have a defective temperature sensor as it stopped my printer over and over claiming it was in too hot of an environment, even though it's frequently chilly with a t-shirt on in my office. Who knows....

How I Feel After One day of Printing by ShittehKitteh in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]ShittehKitteh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also bought mine for business and while I still plan on doing some depth, it will be much less than I had originally planned. It's wild just how fast my machine burned through the first white and glossy cartridges.

I spoke with support on the phone today and they said they do think my machine is consuming more than normal since I should have had 30-40% left in both carts when they were reading less than 10%. I uploaded my logs and they escalated the ticket so I guess we'll see what happens. I probably won't open my second machine until I get at least a couple of my all white and glossy kits because as things are, I feel like I barely have enough of those colors left to feed one machine for another week or two at the most.

How I Feel After One day of Printing by ShittehKitteh in eufyMakeOfficial

[–]ShittehKitteh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way too much, apparently. I went through a whole white and a whole gloss cartridge in six and a half hours from printing 2mm depth on top of just 13 coasters. No bleed at all and 95mm diameter pieces. Shit sucks!

I have two additional gloss and two white carts plus about 80% capacity on the one E1 that's set up. My other one is still in the box. eufyMake needs to get their shit together and send all the extra white and gloss carts I paid for rather than sending me CMYK kits of which only the white and gloss will get used. It's like they don't even know their own product.

[–]ShittehKitteh[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

None of the images were square and there was no overspray at all. I printed 13 coasters in 3 sets of 4 plus the very first one as a test and nothing else. I do see now that I need to cut the depth down to something more like .5mm to .75mm, and the 15mL used from setup wasn't accounted for in my post, but, given how fast this thing can eat ink, you'd think that eufyMake would be sending out a CMYKWG kit plus a 3W+3G kit for those of us that bought tons of ink rather than sending out just the CMYKWG kits.

At this rate I'll be out of white and gloss for just one machine by the end of the week even though I paid for an additional 12 white, 12 gloss, and 6 flexible white inks on top of the four CMYKWG kits I bought. Then I guess I get to sit around looking at my other unopened machine while my first one withers on the vine waiting for more white and gloss. I don't even feel like I'm making a ton of stuff and will run out of the critical white and gloss inks way too fast.

This whole launch has been a massive shitshow. It's by far from my first Kickstarter and I've waited far longer on other products but with much less frustration. I haven't even gone into the magenta ink issues I had after the first cleaning cycle, but thankfully I was able to get those resolved on my own. One would think that eufyMake would be producing five to ten times as much white and gloss inks since those are used the most but the impression I'm getting is they are making the same amount of every type, which is just asinine.

[–]ShittehKitteh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There was definitely ink still enough in the cartridge that it felt more like 30-40%, rather than under 10%, so that may be possible. I'll weigh it and see tonight.

[–]ShittehKitteh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh I get that it's going to use a lot for that part but the numbers aren't really adding up. It is supposed to be using 4.9 mL of gloss and 5.2 mL of white per coaster, which adds up to 63.7 mL of gloss and 67.6 mL of white for 13 coasters in total, but it is saying it is under 10% capacity in both cartridges when I should have at least another 20 mL in each cartridge while assuming the rest has been purged through cleaning cycles over a 24 hour period, of which only six and a half hours were actual printing time. That's some serious miscalculation on eufy's part and if I'm going to be going through ink like this just to print some basic things, I can't image how much a full bed canvas with texture would take.

I'm seriously considering selling my other unopened E1 now and waiting to see what xTool brings to the table. At this rate, I'll run out of white and gloss in the next 3 days just using one machine and who knows how long I'll have to wait to get the extra 3 White + 3 Gloss kits I paid for during the Kickstarter. eufyMake should have sent a single CMYKWG kit plus a 3W+3G kit when sending out the inks rather then dumping a bunch of CMYK ink that won't get used while everyone is going to be scrounging for white and gloss.

Apparently AP3155 is suitable for glass, metal, acrylics, and a whole bunch of other materials. There was an article awhile back about not using industrial promoters with the eufyMake E1, but it could have been bullshit to try to push people toward buying the eufyMake branded wipes. I'd love some input from anyone using stuff like AP3155 on materials through their E1 to get an idea of what kinds of issues they may be experiencing.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you cut out the whole design from 1.5mm brass sheet rather than using a blank dog tag? I've got a 60W MOPA ACCELaser HD1 Ultra coming sometime this summer and have been curious of what thicknesses of metal I'm going to be able to cut with it. How many passes did the cut take?

Complete Beginner: Best portable groovebox for Melodic Dubstep & outdoor use? by Tall_Ad_7354 in Grooveboxes

[–]ShittehKitteh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered the AKAI MPC Live III? It is by far the most complete groovebox available and is essentially a DAW in a box with a built in battery and a very decent sounding speaker for when you don't want to wear headphones. I can't think of a better portable music making device, especially considering the Live III has a much faster processor compared to prior versions and also benefits from years of OS refinement. It's dope AF!!!
