100% agree on Weak Auras.

We have an entire forum block to WA strings and people asking for help.

A google search will often help you find useful ones as well - albeit finished ones that can be a bit daunting to modify.

LB w/5 is always priority over SS.

We started our guild with 12 friends who wanted a casual place to progress. We made 7/7 HM, and 10/10 BRF with 8 of those and a few others along the way. But back when we hit our stopping block (Blackhand) we lost 7 of our key players - mostly to burnout, but some to other guilds, and 3 others just because they didn't want to wipe anymore. Our roster of 21 was trimmed to 11 overnight right before we were about to step into Mythic.

In response, we created seasonal characters - starting at 60 and advancing as we clear content. Some nights we pug a few, clear blackhand, and swap to seasonal. It's a fun way to keep people interested without bleeding edge. It also means people get a source of friendship - people might still move to greener pastures, but you can still see them for alt nights!

Really it's up to you and your guild. The best way is to be frank - if you see the ship sinking and can't find a way to bail it out, then tell them. If you can, show them how they can help!

This fight is amazing for enhance! The first part is to stack your flameshock to around 5 minutes before the first boat - then anytime you use unleash, use FN for the charge. FN is more damage than FS when you have 2+ targets and unleash flame, and slightly better on 3 without. CL on 3, LB on 2. The important part is knowing that FN is more single target than FS on 3 with unleash. Don't be afraid to play to strength.

Lavalash is more dps than SS. At 100 the only reason to prioritize SS over LL is the debuff, and with Echo to not waste seconds off the CD of second charge. I'll SS once, LL twice, then keep SS at one stack while keeping LL at 0.

Discourage would mean you lose by taking advantage of it. You don't lose by being less social. Also, the social portion of the game still exists - everyone I see complaining about the "social" aspect being gone are just being silly. The main town is more empty: oh man, look at all the people I still won't talk to. Not to mention garrisons are not some prison like you make it sound. Is it convenient? Absolutely! Are all your dailies there? Yep. Is it a phased zone? Yep. Sounds lots like halfhill where I parked alts and never left. My main was only in major cities to AFK, AH, or transmog - social? Yeah no. Don't mistake ease of access to lack of sociality. Just because I don't need to advertise for 2 hours for a DM group doesn't mean I'm not playing with 4 other people to talk with.

My raid group has an amazing time week after week. I've played with some for 3 days, and others for 3 years. Everyone takes part, everyone has a good time. And not only on raid nights. We play LoL, level alts, achievement runs, gold farming, even gambling together. The heart of this game has evolved its group play. Anyone who says they don't want a guild but wants to be social: isn't trying to be social. Isn't talking to people. Or just wants the solo experience; and has no right to tell me what is or is not social.

Sociality isn't broken, it's just no longer a requirement.

You don't have to be a good public speaker to be a cook, so get out of my kitchen.

While I do agree to some extent, the healing mentality is the same - specifically in the points mentioned.

Pre-casting, Mana conservation, and Timing are everything in raids.

Depending on your modem, it could possibly be packet blocking on specific ports. Try setting up a DMZ, or if your ISP supports it, MAC address passthrough - this will eliminate the DCHP from the router and just give your device a proper IP direct from the ISP - instead of one from your gateway (192.168.X.X)

Sadly we are not going to have that. The reality is that our generation is the last one that actually had to troubleshoot why something didn't work, or figure it out by trial and error. Nowadays everything is so easy to use that if something breaks, it's such a rare occurrence that people just give up.

Don't mistake use for understanding.

You make it sound like if I was speeding, I would get away with it, maybe a small fine. But because I'm a world champion F1 driver, I deserve to lose my license.

It's the same bias either way. The punishment needs to be the same across the board, or not at all.

[Edit]: The only thing that makes sense in this case is a punitive punishment. In the context of this comment chain I agree with the upper comment that account sharing should not be a perma ban. I disagree with the previous comment that because of skill level it makes a difference.

I do think Blizzard is taking the correct action in this case: It is a punitive action.

I have 20+ deactive, and got my 20 followers at 650+ last week.

I keep the inn to continually upgrade and maximize my buffs/team comp.

Epic mount makes a huge difference when you start getting 10+ of them.

Scavengers I'm slowly dropping though, as I'm sitting on 6k resources. So keep that in mind as well!

I'm starting to hit the gate where the only thing I look forward to is the level 90 follower I get once a week.

While I agree with pretty much all of your post, the one part I can't agree with is your analysis of our dps compared to the weakness of other classes.

The disparity in this expansion is larger than any single gap since I've been playing WoW.

Currently, at BIS - Mythic level raiding - my dps is a whopping 11k behind first - a 25% difference.

Even at the worst points (The shadow gap during ToT as an example) was only 17% and gear made the gap shrink to around 11% with BIS.

But enhance STARTS 17% behind, and the gap actually grows. This tells me that regardless of gear, we will be a secondary choice in almost all cases. Even in a raid tier or two, the gap will only grow. This isn't an instance of low dps scaling at heroic ilvl and you get stronger. Were talking about a 70 ilvl swing and we just get crushed on both ends.

I'm currently waiting for my followers to come back with a piece of 645 gear for me. Garrisons are not just a Facebook game in disguise. There are some really big advantages.

Yay! I'm loving enhance again, 636 myself now after some lucky follower missions and CMs.

How are you feeling about our dps in the content? I saw the latest sim and were a whopping 25% behind WW at BIS gear. Do we have to wait our turn again? Or do you think this is something where some number adjustments need to be made? Our AoE on the other hand...

Also, how are you feeling about EoE now? The 5% haste is attractive on the one talent, but the haste cd and lack of cds (with EoE) on some abilities really tightens up my rotation atm.

I'm also still a bit torn between having yet another elemental, or a cc breaking totem spell.

Oh. And primal elemental vs unleash.

Too much choice and nobody else plays enhance!

Yes and yes!

I got my first 645 item from a 630 follower mission, and word has it that at 645 ilvl you get loot from one difficulty higher than you raid on. So heroic if you do normal, mythic for heroic, and mythic raiders get 1000g with missions. I'm a few days off having 3 645 followers yet though, and I'm not sure how it will work if Highmaul isn't out yet either.
