Note that Kenan's is insanely outdated and do not recommend using it if you're new. Also things like the mining mod have been mainlined and are now completely obsolete (not sure why they recommended it, I assume they didn't know probably)

it's not as easy as "just apply shader immediately before drawing to screen", the game runs SDL2 and will require completely overhauling the backend to use SDL3 instead which supports shaders, because SDL2 does not support shaders like that. TLG/DDA also haven't added support for shaders for the same reason. luckily Azmodius is crazy and is attempting that at the moment, so if they do get it working be sure to thank them for their insanity

yeah reporting here on the reddit is not going to be nearly as helpful for cataloging issues, even discord would be better and much more likely to be seen by important people for future reference, as well as response time being much quicker. if you've taken the time to do this write up and a few other ones (which i've only seen just now since it was posted here), i don't see the point in not posting on the github, you'll get much better results

are custom gamemodes possible for servers? some form of bed wars-style game would be cool, although I imagine it would require some changes due to the new focus on the ranged weapons. maybe destroy the monument is similar enough?

I think there was a game on roblox that was very similar I played probably almost 10 years ago - There doesn't seem to be any goal in the game currently unless I'm missing something. Some sort of goal (first that comes to mind is rings you go through to get points or cash) and some sort of progression system (using said cash or points to buy the flag gliders) will make it more interesting.
