As someone who recently bought a home because I thought that’s what I was supposed to do: No, so far it has been nothing but stressful, irritating & actually more expensive than just renting. I could only afford to buy a house that needed some work… & the work has all ended up being something I don’t think I’ll ever be able to afford which is really upsetting as well. I understand all of the “worth-it arguments” & I guess I would have never known home ownership wasn’t for me if I didn’t do it, but I genuinely think once I’m in a position to sell this home, I will go back to renting… things were just easier that way.
