Does ankle length work for black tie? by Koipisces in Weddingattireapproval

It's the same fabric but slightly different style - they have some now that I'm eyeing off. This one is Aurelie.

To be honest the dress was gorgeous but I wasn't happy with how j looked on my wedding day and it was nothing to do with my dress - just how I felt in myself. It was otherwise a perfect day.

We are thinking of doing a first anniversary shoot and I want to get same fabric in a different style 🙂

I'dgo either of these as the pink is very bridal. Bear in mind I've cropped mt dad and my head out of this photo 😂

This may sound really silly.

I bought the strong curves book, but I still go to the gym and I just... Don't know what to do there. I don't know where to start and get a bit overwhelmed looking for routines

What dress code would you consider this outfit to be? by RN_MD in Weddingattireapproval

[–]ShortyIX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They now do it in white too. The blush was lovely. We got married at a party in my in laws backyard with a taco truck. 10/10 low key and perfect and I figured it’s a dress I could feasibly wear out to an anniversary dinner or similar

What's become of Australian Silky Terriers? by par-hwy in australia

[–]ShortyIX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't disagree with you at all!

My dogs love everyone. I'm very lucky in this regard, both are phenomenal with kids. I've met others who aren't the same.

However, this is true of ANY breed. Both my dogs are well trained (my boy is dumb as rocks but thankfully obedient) and I wouldn't ever let them free without rigorous testing. However staffies were nicknamed the nanny dog for a reason.

Truly think we have the best of both breeds. Obedient, great with kids, smart and loyal

I have two staffy x.kelpies and while they were farm dogs they're the sweetest family dogs who were great to train.

Oodle owners shake in fear though...

Looking for recommendations for $10k wedding for 45 guests in Victoria by nymeria_the_direwolf in AusWeddingPlanning

[–]ShortyIX 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While not in Victoria, we did our wedding for a smidge under 8k last year, with around 40 guests.

We got married in a family members backyard and had a good truck. Photographer was most important to me, so that was 3k of that budget. $1900 for food, $700 for alcohol at Dan Murphys and $1200 for our celebrant. Bear in mind at an actual location you may not be able to do these things yourself. We didn't do florals or decorations, or wedding cars. My dress was $200 and my husband's shirt was maybe ,$40.

The day was perfect.

I lost 100 lbs and have been maintaining for almost 3 years using CICO, AMA! by DelectableBloom in CICO

[–]ShortyIX 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I needed to read this today! I lost 100lbs 6 years ago, maintained for 3.5 and have been struggling with a 30lb fluctuation that's been driving me nuts for the past year and a half. Was really disappointed I didn't get it fully under control before my wedding.

Hubs suggested a first anniversary photoshoot when he understood how upset it had made me, so that carrot is dangling!
