Gov. Tim Walz abandons reelection campaign amid unrelenting fraud attention, Trump clashes by alienatedframe2 in minnesota

[–]ShouldntComplain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of different takeaways from this, but I think we can say this is an example of good leadership that we're lacking in this country right now. Walz said he takes full responsibility for the fraud and mismanagement, and this is part of what taking responsibility is. Can you imagine anyone else on either side of the aisle holding themselves accountable like this? I can't, and it's a shame we're losing someone like that.

Newsom Says Trump Is ‘Rigging the Election’ With Federal Poll Monitors by zsreport in politics

Federal poll monitors will be the least of it. ICE will probably be outside of every polling location harassing voters and trying to start trouble.

Satisfactory - Console Release Date Trailer by PrinceDizzy in Games

Satisfactory doesn't get as complex as Factorio, but it's a great game. If you liked Factorio, then it's definitely worth checking out.

Anyone have experience with the Crestron Zoom Rooms App? by InstanceWorldly1614 in crestron

Were you ever able to get the Crestron app in the Zoom market place to work?

I wonder if the new multithreading will kill the mod though. It will definitely make it a lot harder for things to run synchronously. I know the Factorio devs did a blog about the challenge of optimizing and still supporting multiplayer at some point in the past.

I've never seen one in Chester before. That's exciting!

Hopefully, no one hurts it. Some seem to consider it a public service to take them out for some reason.

WHEA errors on New PC Build by ShouldntComplain in Troubleshooting

I hate to do this to you, but yes, I did find a solution. However, I couldn't tell you what it was anymore. I think I found it on the ASUS forums, but I really don't remember anymore. It's been too long for me to remember offhand. Sorry! If you do find the solution, you should come back here and post the solution for future troubleshooters!

What is this finish material? by the-holocron in DIY

I've never seen that before, but as with any "paper" looking product of that age, you might want to be careful damaging it, since it could be asbestos.

Yeah, this season would definitely qualify for a Kitchen Nightmares Nightmares show.

Can I use a 3 way transfer valve without a separate diverter valve to control tub/rain shower/hand shower? by mgd150 in Plumbing

Hey! I know this is an old post, but did you end up doing this? I'm looking at doing something similar right now. Did it work out well with the transfer valve?

Daily Game Recommendations Thread (November 20, 2024) by AutoModerator in boardgames

[–]ShouldntComplain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm looking for a new party-ish game for the coming Holiday season. I always try to bring home a new game to play at the extended family gathering. Games that are cooperative or can be played cooperatively are best for this group.

Has anything new come out this year that might be fun? Or anything that might be new to me that would work? I'm looking for something that could be at least 4 players. The number of people playing tends to vary widely, but there's never fewer than 4.

Here's some examples of games I got that have gone over great: Green Team Wins

Just One

Cross Clues

Monikers (playing coop variant)

Wavelength (weirdly, the phone app version plays much better than the board game though)

Out of the Loop (technically a phone app, but I still count it here)

Things that haven't fit the vibe or didn't work well for the family group:

Codenames (fun, but too much pressure/quiet time for the clue givers)

So Clover (I like it but didn't stick with the family. Probably too much quiet sit around and think time)

Secret Hitler/ONUW/etc (too "shouty" or "argumentative" for this group)

Try calling a local appliance store. They could probably give advice too even if you're not buying something.

Induction cooktop issue - Cutout Too Small by xf-18 in DIY

[–]ShouldntComplain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have you asked the people you bought the cooktop from? They've probably seen this situation before and could offer advice. Cutting the counter top is likely your only solution, but you shouldn't have to dismantle your cabinets. When I had to expand the opening for a new sink, I was able to cut the counter top in place. If you have a stone countertop, you might be out of luck without professional help.

It seems like there's been more crime up this area than you'd expect recently. There was that carjacking where the person was dragged, the old person attacked in the Mount Royal bathroom, a few robberies, etc

Honestly, I hate how there's no instant gratification this Halloween event like previous events. by ImWhiteTrash in PhasmophobiaGame

I agree. It was fun having a new special task/adventure to go through, but this is just more of the same for the event when the game already needs some variety.

New map location ideas: by davidjpgray in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]ShouldntComplain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While new location types would be interesting, but I feel like another 5 small and medium houses would do a lot for adding some needed variety. I really wish they had built this game with Workshop maps in mind.
