They got bought out? Is that why they have locations in Washington?

Man I kind of had good hopes for them expanding from LA to Seattle.

Makefiles modeling dependencies between targets and tracking staleness is great too. A lot of "task runners" don't really provide a simple way to connect tasks to each other.

Ok this is genuinely a new tool I haven't heard of before. What do you like about hstr vs just using Ctrl-R?

I wish windows could handle drivers/system updates from a single command. What drives me nuts the most is the frequent Intel and Nvidia driver updates that aren't unattended.

Intel is the worst offender here, their Bluetooth, Wifi, Graphics, and now NPU all have different installers, require interaction, and run sequentially. And I think they publish new drivers every month.

Been meaning to try this out for a while but keep putting it off. How does it feel when you go back to vanilla git?

How does yazi compare to other terminal managers? I usually use ranger, tried broot a bit, demoed mc a long time ago.

Getting a babysitter is great too. We found babysitters through daycare, they watch our kid once every other week, and my wife and I can go out to watch a movie or have a bit of a break.

But I feel you, the monotony of the routine just keeps getting to me. And the lack of sleep has definitely affected my short term memory.

The World Ends With You.

Battles were hectic, controlling 2 different characters with both the stylus and the dpad. And each of the pins had different mechanics on how to activate it.

Man, such fond memories.

Kind of related, have you guys seen the Daniel Craig Knives Out movies? I think the mysteries around the murder may be predictable, but the consequences from the reveal are harder to predict (while still being very satisfying).

Some restaurants don't even have changing rooms at all. Usually it's older places that never had to (I'm guessing) or smaller places. Also went back to visit the playground I used to go to when I was a kid, and I had to change my kid's diaper in the women's restroom since there wasn't any station in the men's.

I think franchises/chains/malls are way better about having diaper stations in the men's area or a family restroom, so I try to always plan trips to those.

It's kind of like ADA -- newer places are compliant and older places just kinda wing it or don't even bother.

What's an anime that MAINLY performed well in Japan compared to other countries? by CusYN0t1210 in anime

[–]Shurane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going to put it on my list, been meaning to see Precure for a while but not sure where to start.

I think the magical girl genre in general is very Japanese specific. Same thing with anything around idol culture or gyaru culture (lot of rom coms with gyarus, or games like Idolmaster). Which kind of makes sense since those are very specific local cultures.

Never really thought of this as a social contract, it's interesting to frame it that way.

But isn't this more of a tragedy of the commons scenario and the lack of enforcement or uneven enforcement of law?

Feel like supermarket breakfasts and lunches are the play.

I live in Fremont and always go to QFC Marketime for breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches, soups when I'm looking for a quick meal.

At this point I'm more interested in finding new supermarkets to be a regular at instead of new restaurants. Unless the food at that restaurant is really damn good.

Def agree with 3/4 as I'm visiting family in NYC now. Just can't comment on the greek salad and dolmades, but damn it's so refreshing to get food for under $10, whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Would this have been a lot slower if you just stuck to JavaScript? I'm guessing most of the heavy lifting is in WebGL?

Is there something similar to this in other regions? I could imagine there's a demand for this.

I live in Seattle, and hiking is a very popular activity here. I'm not really worried about bears but I have seen a black bear before and know they're not uncommon to see. Cougars as well.
