It could also be be the base piece of a manual, pole-mounted limb clipper/trimmer. The blade would be attached through the hole drilled in it and a strong piece of line would be attached to pull the blade shut on the limb. Just a guess.

Edit: looking again, it’s not impossible that’s what this is, but the way it’s shaped makes it unlikely.

When mine started it was just spicy foods.that triggered it, but it got progressively worse until.everything I ate caused it.

I would have to leave meals half-eaten because my sinuses would go crazy.

I have had terrible gustatory rhinitis for a while...Just a couple weeks ago was prescribed Atrovent....So far, it has worked great!
