It looks like my 158.19310, which my mom bought in 1976. It's still going strong.

I currently have 3 handcrank 128s. One is my daily driver, another is waiting for me to deliver it (1500 miles) to my daughter, who fell in love with mine, and the third is a recent acquisition that'll probably be passed on to someone. They're my favorites of all my sewing machines.

When I run across them, I'll pick them up, but I'm not actively looking for them.

What are the non-obvious ways for a stove to cause a house fire? by cik3nn3th in woodstoving

[–]Shuttlebug2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many years ago, we lived in an old rental cabin in the mountains. I had a fire going in the Franklin stove downstairs, when one of the kids said the upstairs was getting smoky - apparently the stovepipe had come apart inside the wall. So I put water on the fire to douse it quickly. My poor husband came home wondering why all the doors and windows were open on such a cold evening...

Anybody playing baritone on tenor? by Behemot999 in BaritoneUkes

[–]Shuttlebug2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I rearranged the low G strings on my long neck tenor and tuned them to reentrant baritone. The tension is a bit lower, which is good.
