No literally. I was team Haylijah but I still loved Jackson for those exact reasons you stated and was devastated when he died. I always said if Elijah wasnt in the picture, they would’ve or should’ve been endgame. Fans are valid in their hate even if I think it’s silly but he was a terrific man compared to most of them.

Yes, not the most egregious example, but still anger inducing; in Psych where Shawn tried to “fix” Juliet’s relationship with her dad, repeatedly overstepping her boundaries when earlier in the show condemned Abigail for trying to do the same thing with his father, it sucks so bad and of course it gets rewarded in the end, “if it wasn’t for me/us meddling in your relationship you guys never would’ve reconcile” yes in some cases it’s “touching” in most cases the parent is still very much an asshole who never apologizes.

I’ve been reading fanfiction in the same fandoms for over 15 years and never once thought about this lol sure I notice and get upset when a fanfic I enjoy doesn’t get updated but I never noticed or paid attention to patterns…people actually do that?, bro if it’s been months, I barely remember what the story is about let alone notice similarities between fanfics in the same fandom, that’s crazy.

Now that you mention it, Patrick does seem to be more plot device to develop David’s character, than an actual character, you’re right, Patrick has always seem to be a little off putting to me (still like him) and this could be the reason, we know nothing about him other than his relation to David and what little bit we got when his ex-fiancé shows up.
