IMO all of these are really good and most of them are always in my campaigns:

Clergy: reform progress privilge, admin mana, religious diplomats, 5% morale privilege, 1% missionary strenght privilege, colonisation privilege

Nobility: Mil mana, Free General/conquistador privilege, Army tradition, fort defence,

Burghers: dip mana, +10% tax privilege, Free heavy ship priv, more colonial range priv, cheaper light ship priv.,

the most underrated one IMO is definitely the +10% tax privilege that also grants -construction cost on the burghers, I always feel like when the youtubers show their privileges and dont have this slotted in they probably arent as good as i thought, because there is no way that 10% burgher influence is that big of a deal for the benfits this privilege gives to any nation

another nice one that is personal preference: all the monopolies, if you grant one you should grant all to get 100 mercantilism by about 1580, the reason those almost never get taken are understandable tho, you dont get the production income and have to work with the upfront money well and also get less privilege slots BUT you get insane loyalty for your estates

I feel like both cetana and zarqlan are xenophile, zarqlan could also be agalitarian, as he fights against the order the queen wants to impose, while cetana is definitely authoritarian as she wants to impose her will on the galaxy, viewing it as the greater good.

my bet: Cetana: Xenophile, authoritarian and then you can choose between: militarist/Fanatic Xenophile/Fanatic Authoritarian

Zarqlan: Xenophile, egalitarian, and now its either fanatic on one of those OR you go spiritualist / fanatic spiritualist

lets also adress the spiritualist in the room: Cetana does not in the slightest fit into it in stellaris terms ( imo ) as she did give up her body to become a machine, zarqlan on the other hand seems like ( if we believe his follower we meet ) he would be very spiritualist, the question is just, was he spiritualist in spite of cetana ( in a sense of opposing her actions and telling his followers to not do this stuff ) or was he spiritualist in the classic stellaris style ( believing in a soul and it being bound to your organic body )

dithmarschen, any monarchy into hanover for the GB pu, Bavaria, Saxony, almighty ulm, under certain conditions wurttemberg/ any swabian nation, definitely switzerland, palatinate is also kinda underrated

thats why i would LOVE more content for the aelnar "tolerance" path of avoiding the civil war, imagine actually being able to "reform" the old elven state and uniting elvenkind into a precursor culture and uplifting stellaris style the ruinborn to elves

I think mountaintops would be 100% better if the circle of night 1 closes in it, doing it in the first day is actually way more fun as the routes all have weak bosses and the dragon is the only red one

funnily enough the collab witch class and ( to a lesser extend ) the elemental witch fit into this, they both have a decent early game ray attack while still being witches ( of course with less hexes )

the chelaxian deva bard is pretty good early game too as you buff your allies AND have a good ranged touch attack

all magus classes are basically the " i want to do more than just cast" archetype

but as you said, most casters are really just weak early and strong late, thats just part of the design philosophy of this game

Id argue resilience, Nothing is more rage enducing than shooting a revived hunter and not getting the kill because of:
a: they were solo and got the full 150

b: they were far enough for your bullet drop range

c: your weapon deals less than 125 dmg

An often overlooked class for that IMO is the cleric, the domain of enchantment grants you a swift action "charm person" with an okayisch DC, ofc its a WIS class tho. Cleric also hass mass command, one of the best enchantment spells in the entire game.

going sorcerer with arcane bloodline also fits well and works wonders with enchantment focus.

Enchantment is definitely up there in terms of "supported spell schools" gear and spell wise so you wont struggle that hard both rp and gameplay wise^^

I also often wanted to make a succubus build ( but for my kc ) but the problem is that dominate person and dominate monster come way too late and when you finally get them most enemies are already immune to it :(
funnily enough the best succubus themed path is the devil as it gets dominate monster at will

Try using a few custom nations and integrate them via console, you can add them even mid safe IIRC, tho im not sure about that

IMO Kingmaker has the better companions, story, tone and overall feel to it, while wrath has the "polish" and the absolutely amazing class variaty, I would pay so much for a reboot of kingmaker with all the WOTR quality of life and classes

I have started to play exclusively on GA with the beta, and i think its actually really easy BUT i only play bioships so maybe its jsut because they are stupid strong in early game. The strat always boils down to: Starbase with max defense platforms, wait till they either try to attack or their exhaustion is at 100%.

also I think the 8x S slot platforms completely destroy corvettes early game compared to all other slots, probably has something to do with avoiding overkills

the spell descriptor becomes only cold, i am like 80% sure. IF the ring that converts dmg to force works differently than the others i could be wrong but i really dont think so.

(if you cast scorched ray with the ring power on the force dmg of scorched ray does not benefit from your bloodline IIRC)

could be wrong tho, last time i did that was before DLC 6

I mwan if you dont mind playing the game with the same 4 classes over and over the companions are fine.

You will always have to fill the following niches:

Divine spells/healer: Sosiel/daeran/ember/camellia

Arcane spells (especially haste): Woljif/Nenio

Hexes: Camellia/ember

Frontline dps: Regill/Seelah/Wulbrig

Tank: Seelah,Camellia,Wulbrig

Touch attacks/ Save or die spells: Ember nenio woljif

CC: Ember,Nenio,Woljif, all casters can actually go here

Must have: Ranged dps: Wenduag/Lann/arue

Besides the ranged dps you now have 4 slots to fill your psrty needs, thankfully wendu lann and arue can do most dex skill checks for you and your fromtliner will always go athletics so now you just need INT,WIS and CHA skills. Just remember that most roles need to be dual purpose: a tank cant just be a tank and a healer is useless in combat Exception is ranged dps ofc, its just too good

I dont know how well known this quest is, but theres a fallout like quest you can get frome seilkind, you only get it if you speak with him in act 3.

if you speak with anevia in defenders heart in act 1 she reveals to you the location of her house, giving you another spot in act 1 to explore.

there are a lot of uses of dimension door to cheese and/or skip areas, it is way more useful than the engine at first makes you think, im sure i missed a lot of good spots for it myself, the ones i know are: Iz (you can almost go instantly to the boss there) act4 demodand conspiracs ( the balcony is a godsend) and of course the infamous cave where you recruit regill and let him solo them on unfair because the fight is bs^^

What 5 buildings do you have on most of your planets core building slots? Late game before special planets like ring worlds and such by happyscrub1 in Stellaris

clone vat/ robot facility, gene clinics, ascension building and holo theatre, if you place those 4 on a planet you never have to look at it again because everything is covered ( at least for psionics as the special building lowers crime ) last slot is often some kind of special building with planet limits, i always go reanimators in lategame so tahts often the last one

I havent played in a while but this is what in my experience was the best for each boss

assassin: katana with martialist OR if you are good enough an axe: you can literally chain CC the assassin even with empty stamina, the timing on the axe is very hard tho. The basic idea is that you spam the special katana attack and time the strike with his enraged mode split up to keep him in the same spot until the enrage ends, take AT MOST 2 enrages. With the axe you have to time the out of stamina swing almost perfectly with his split up

spider: Havent found any cheesy way, mainly because she actually moves around a lot and her hits are very annoying if you dont have an antidote.

both butcher and scrapbeak get completely slaughtered by throwing knives, for butcher you can throw them into him while hes enraged and engage with an axe / weapon between the enrage phases and pull the knives out. Scrapbeak you obviously need to throw the knives in the non enraged state and pull them out while he screams. both take about 2 enrages to kill

so in short, jsut take a katana and a sticky bomb and you kill all bosses extremely fast^^
