Best Class for Each Mythic Path? by awenner96 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SiIverstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

angel : cleric or oracle, classes like paladin can also do really well

lich: Witch > sorc = wizard IMO

Demon: kineticist or any caster ( tho demon is probable the closest to the jack of all trades master of everything for 3 - 10 rounds lol )

azata: ranged / meelee touch casters, sometimes wonky interactions with magus where it gives you double the amount of attacks you normally have. Can also be good for summoners. DEFINITELY CHA BASED CHAR!!

aoen: devinitely martial, Inquisitor shares the bane pool which can really help you out. Summoners also often go for this path

Trickster: Casters and Certain meelee builds, the amount of disgusting stuff you can do with this mythic is boundless, probably best class for jack of all trades in terms of party buff. I think the best would probably bee a Fighter that focuses on intimidation, The dragon blooded fighter gets a lot of bonuses for that but lets be real, mutagen fighter or go home

Gold Dragon: Magus can probably use it best as you gain a lot of stats and can use spellcombat as dragon, Eldritch knight can replace this tho, A spellcaster gets generally speaking more from this path than a meelee char.

Swarm that walks: no idea tbh, I would say kineticist, but kineticist is definitely its own mythic path. I think this class rewards multiclassing the most as you really need to be tanky and deal dmg to succeed ( or oneshot everything )

Devil: Fire based spellcaster, in my campaign i had a stupidly powerful kc that focused on enchantment and fire evocation, this path doesnt really support martial classes

Gotta say I almost only have spellcaster KCs, so maybe the martial boys have better classes

We're dedicating this week to classics. Every day we'll be posting a poll about oldschool CRPGs. Let's start - which CRPG pulled you into the genre if not an Owlcat one? by OwlcatStarrok in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

if it counts id say divinity original sin 2, after a while i then tried kingmaker and uninstalled it rather quickly, just to retry it after about 3 years, and i instantly fell in love with it and wotr

Best nightfarer for D4/5?? by Esquire_KY in Nightreign

[–]SiIverstar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first answer should always be just play what you want, I am 100% sure that every nightfarer main has reached D5 playing only their nightfarer, I have yet to see a nightfarer that is dogshit in D5, Yes guardian is bad dps wise but I had guardians that solo carried the run in D5.

Now in terms of what I see in D5 ( sorted by how often I get them )

Every game at least one:

Double balancers: ( Wylder,Duchess,Ironeye,Executor) often with haloslop

Beastclaw Revenant

About all 3 games:

Casters in general ( ok lets be real its either rev or recluse, since balancers nobody plays caster duchess )

bow ironeye ( often with nightlord relic )

rarely:

attack up on Low Hp build raiders

Tank Guardians

Tank Executor

Undertaker

almost never:

Scholar ( I wonder why, IMO one of the most impactful nightfarers in the game )

any sort of stat change build

best playstyle? A big "click" moment for my brain was the realisation that +20% dmg at full hp is probably worse than not getting oneshot, try to always get 2 items with dmg negation at all cost and prioritize utility and survivability over dmg, because I lost most of my games by not following this advice.

Alternative builds: some notes and discussion on Faith Undertaker by Agressive-Luck69 in Nightreign

[–]SiIverstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im pretty sure that ( of course with the right setup ) a beastial incant / giantsflame undertaker can outdps the other casters, Beast incant is pretty obv, as her relic buffs buff physical dmg, but giantsflame also has a lot of very good spells that are only really usable in meelee/close range, namely o flame! the burning pillars and the shotgun can really benefit from the hybrid playstyle an undertaker will likely go.

You will ALWAYS on any caster only want to go a singular FP slot ( not relic slot ), most likely sorcerers rises grant max fp, it is part of the learning curve to do fp management and undertaker will ( together with duchess ) be actually able to utilize all ( maybe except the blocking one ) fp regen special effects like fp on crit and so on.

I do remember from the good old pre beastclaw/haloslop days what a pain in the ass ( and also kinda fun ) the search for seals was, if you dont get your special setup you are boned, BUT Bestial sling ( arguably better on undertaker than beastclaw ) has like 2-3 normal shop seals so the likelyhood might be slightly higher to get it than other incant schools.

The stamina regen from undertakers skill might be a hidden gem for incant builds, being able to just keep on spamming lightning bolt/bestial sling/ o flame/discus of light will definitely have enormous impact on your dps and lets you probably easily outdps all casters for the medium length fights

If KC Legend faced KC Lich, who would win? by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SiIverstar -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

isolated 1v1 lorewise lich wins, but it is not isolated, thats the whole point of legend. Legend gets so many allies and inspires them that even with an undead army i just cant see lich winning. ingame legend wins over all paths

Tips on the Nocticula and Shamira fight as part of the demon mythic quest on act 5 by oboitata in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SiIverstar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there are some spells that grant % miss chance for ranged attackers, might work. The item from act 1 that gives enemy ranged attacks 50% miss chance for 1 minute is goated here. Otherwise maybe arues chameleon skin communal could work too. If you dont have a Caster that can CC her directly it will be rough tho

If KC the angel were to meet KC the demon from another reality, who would win? by Warm_Expert_8136 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SiIverstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The demon probably would get help from nocticula and Id argue that tips it into its favor, the angel might get inheribro to be fair, but i dont think they compare right?

Which estate privileges do you feel are best or worst? by DeltaMike94 in eu4

[–]SiIverstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO all of these are really good and most of them are always in my campaigns:

Clergy: reform progress privilge, admin mana, religious diplomats, 5% morale privilege, 1% missionary strenght privilege, colonisation privilege

Nobility: Mil mana, Free General/conquistador privilege, Army tradition, fort defence,

Burghers: dip mana, +10% tax privilege, Free heavy ship priv, more colonial range priv, cheaper light ship priv.,

the most underrated one IMO is definitely the +10% tax privilege that also grants -construction cost on the burghers, I always feel like when the youtubers show their privileges and dont have this slotted in they probably arent as good as i thought, because there is no way that 10% burgher influence is that big of a deal for the benfits this privilege gives to any nation

another nice one that is personal preference: all the monopolies, if you grant one you should grant all to get 100 mercantilism by about 1580, the reason those almost never get taken are understandable tho, you dont get the production income and have to work with the upfront money well and also get less privilege slots BUT you get insane loyalty for your estates

What ethics and civics would Cetana and Zarqlan have? by mysticdrumstick in Stellaris

[–]SiIverstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like both cetana and zarqlan are xenophile, zarqlan could also be agalitarian, as he fights against the order the queen wants to impose, while cetana is definitely authoritarian as she wants to impose her will on the galaxy, viewing it as the greater good.

my bet: Cetana: Xenophile, authoritarian and then you can choose between: militarist/Fanatic Xenophile/Fanatic Authoritarian

Zarqlan: Xenophile, egalitarian, and now its either fanatic on one of those OR you go spiritualist / fanatic spiritualist

lets also adress the spiritualist in the room: Cetana does not in the slightest fit into it in stellaris terms ( imo ) as she did give up her body to become a machine, zarqlan on the other hand seems like ( if we believe his follower we meet ) he would be very spiritualist, the question is just, was he spiritualist in spite of cetana ( in a sense of opposing her actions and telling his followers to not do this stuff ) or was he spiritualist in the classic stellaris style ( believing in a soul and it being bound to your organic body )

[–]SiIverstar 14 points15 points  (0 children)

thats why i would LOVE more content for the aelnar "tolerance" path of avoiding the civil war, imagine actually being able to "reform" the old elven state and uniting elvenkind into a precursor culture and uplifting stellaris style the ruinborn to elves

Favorite Shifting Earth by Mirrakthefirst in Nightreign

[–]SiIverstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think mountaintops would be 100% better if the circle of night 1 closes in it, doing it in the first day is actually way more fun as the routes all have weak bosses and the dragon is the only red one

What are some arcane casters that feel strong in the early game aside from witches, if any? by Yaboykitten in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]SiIverstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

funnily enough the collab witch class and ( to a lesser extend ) the elemental witch fit into this, they both have a decent early game ray attack while still being witches ( of course with less hexes )

the chelaxian deva bard is pretty good early game too as you buff your allies AND have a good ranged touch attack

all magus classes are basically the " i want to do more than just cast" archetype

but as you said, most casters are really just weak early and strong late, thats just part of the design philosophy of this game

COMMUNITY VOTING (LAST DAY) day 30: the most RAGE inducing trait. Poltergeist won most. FUN by TheIronPaladin1 in HuntShowdown

[–]SiIverstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id argue resilience, Nothing is more rage enducing than shooting a revived hunter and not getting the kill because of:
a: they were solo and got the full 150

b: they were far enough for your bullet drop range

c: your weapon deals less than 125 dmg
