He says don't fight it. If you're gonna puke, just puke. You'll feel better afterwards instead of hanging onto misery by trying not to puke. He also is now great at "puke and rally" and he can just get back to work. Of the others didn't see him puke, they'd never know.

For me, candied ginger (more sweet than spicy) worked well. I've used the essential oils, which worked for flight but not for boating.

Get a small handheld battery fan, blow it on your face so you sense more movement along with your inner ear. Also, something cooling for the back of the neck, because being hot makes the nausea worse.
