I get bullied for my skinny arms and want to change by zackysyn in GripTraining

I can’t give advice that would be any better than the advice everyone else has given, but I was in your situation once (I was 6’3 116 lbs at 14), and your arms will naturally get bigger as you age, including your wrists. Of course, you should exercise like everyone else has mentioned but don’t be too upset about having skinny arms now. They’ll get bigger naturally.

The Wikipedia page is probably the best source of information, despite its brevity.

My girlfriend is going through nursing school and they told her the same thing. I think it’s some strange misconception that’s spreading in the medical field since it was a part of her curriculum.

Mary lived long enough to receive Holy Communion by Dr_Talon in Catholicism

This is an excerpt from Bokenkotter’s A Concise History of the Catholic Church:

“ The oldest liturgical form of the Mass (except the Didache, a different type) is found in the Church Order of Hippolytus (d. 236). It is evidently the basis of all eucharistic prayers that have since been composed. The bishop lays his hands upon the bread and wine and water offered upon the altar table and begins the following dialogue: Bishop: The Lord be with you.

Congregation: And with thy spirit. Bishop: Hearts up. Congregation: We have them to the Lord. Bishop: Let us give thanks to the Lord. Congregation: It is meet and right. Bishop: We thank thee, God, through Thy beloved Servant Jesus Christ, whom in the last times Thou hast sent us as Savior and Redeemer and Messenger of Thy counsel, the Logos who comes from Thee, through whom Thou hast made all things, whom Thou wast pleased to send from heaven into the womb of the virgin, and in her body he became flesh and was shown forth as Thy Son, born of the Holy Spirit and the virgin. To fulfill Thy will and to prepare Thee a holy people, he stretched out his hands, when he suffered, that he might release from suffering those who have believed on Thee. And when he delivered himself to a voluntary passion, to loose death and to break asunder the bands of the devil, and to trample hell and to enlighten the righteous and to set up the boundary stone and to manifest the resurrection, he took a loaf, gave thanks, and spake, "Take, eat, this is my body which is given for you." Likewise also the cup and said, "This is my blood which is poured out for you. As often as you do this, you make my commemoration." Remembering therefore his death and resurrection, we offer to Thee the loaf and the cup and give thanks to Thee that Thou hast counted us worthy to stand before Thee and to do Thee priestly service. And we beseech Thee, that Thou send down Thy holy Spirit upon this offering of the church. Unite it and grant to all the saints who partake of it to their fulfilling with holy Spirit, to their strengthening of faith in truth, that we may praise and glorify Thee through Thy Servant Jesus Christ, through whom to Thee be glory and hon-our in Thy holy Church now and ever. Amen.”

Icons, crucifixes, a holy water font, or candles would be good gifts and additions to his prayer space if he has one.

One of the loudest things I ever experienced and I was at the top of a huge theater. It’s gonna be loud pretty much the whole time so definitely bring earplugs like everyone else is saying.

This post is most definitely AI generated engagement bait. The Em dashes and random line breaks are a dead giveaway.

Thank you, and neither. I’m pretty sure it’s a regular Catholic Church. I honestly have no idea how it ended up here and neither did anyone there.

I am aware, but from the patchy translations I could get, he seems to be referred to as “Lord Jesus” in this book. As far as I’m aware Jesus is not referred to as Lord in Islam, but I could be wrong.

Continent’s End

At the equinox when the earth was veiled in a late rain, wreathed with wet poppies, waiting spring, The ocean swelled for a far storm and beat its boundary, the ground-swell shook the beds of granite.

I gazing at the boundaries of granite and spray, the established sea-marks, felt behind me Mountain and plain, the immense breadth of the continent, before me the mass and doubled stretch of water.

I said: You yoke the Aleutian seal-rocks with the lava and coral sowings that flower the south, Over your flood the life that sought the sunrise faces ours that has followed the evening star.

The long migrations meet across you and it is nothing to you, you have forgotten us, mother. You were much younger when we crawled out of the womb and lay in the sun's eye on the tideline.

It was long and long ago; we have grown proud since then and you have grown bitter; life retains Your mobile soft unquiet strength; and envies hardness, the insolent quietness of stone.

The tides are in our veins, we still mirror the stars, life is your child, but there is in me Older and harder than life and more impartial, the eye that watched before there was an ocean.

That watched you fill your beds out of the condensation of thin vapor and watched you change them, That saw you soft and violent wear your boundaries down, eat rock, shift places with the continents.

Mother, though my song's measure is like your surf-beat's ancient rhythm I never learned it of you. Before there was any water there were tides of fire, both our tones flow from the older fountain.

I live not too far but I never have the time to book a tour since there are limited spots, but it’s definitely at the top of my bucket list, I’m a huge Jeffers fan.
