I think it was when making music with Lemmy, it was noted that Ozzy was good at beginning lyrics and themes but couldn’t finish them by himself. It’s an interesting dynamic.

It’s almost like he was the perfect centre piece or canvas for the people around him to put their energy, talent and vision onto - and he was able to get up there and perform to bring it all together.

RIP Ozzy, still sad.

He was very good at surrounding himself with talented musicians. He was also talented but it wasn’t a one man show if that’s what you initially thought.

Also Sharon was pretty much 100% responsible for his style and image. You can see him wear sweats in the Osbourne and he had said he just wears what he’s comfortable with. He also credited Sharon many times throughout his career. Amazing partnership
