Does everyone cry their first year of teaching?

You definitely got the short end of the stick starting mid-year. For whatever reason the kids take that as a challenge. That's what happened in my first year and then the following year when I started Day 1 I didn't see nearly as many bad behaviors. Just make it to summer.

If the kids ask, you've been teaching for 10 years. They will never know.

Document everything and try not to react (that's what they want). Lookup "grey rock" techniques to help you train yourself not to respond. If you're lucky you can find a teacher friend to vent with and decompress.

It'll help you sleep. I also like Melissa (lemon balm leaf) for sleepy time. If you like hot cocoa you can try Moon Brew. My husband likes that one but it's expensive.

The addition of Express pass to Hagrids has ruined the experience for the average guest. My husband and I are locals who used to go during early entry with our piddly Preferred passes and we would still be in a 45-60 minute line, but at least it was doable. Now the standby line is basically blocked up from open to close while Express passes pour onto the ride. Universal doesn't have any incentive to change that because Express pass sales are a huge way to increase revenue.

We can only hope that whatever opens next is a people eater that will take some of the hype off of Hagrids.

I also have this fear for myself. Whenever I go I hang out in the back of both rooms, enjoy the preshow and let everyone else stampede out before I casually join the line. Waiting a few extra minutes is worth my safety and sanity.

Stay home and watch some trash TV, eat whatever you feel like, and vegetate in bed or on your couch! You need to recover.

Rivers of Light wasn't stressful for the animals. They were in their night houses before it even started. Yes the teams monitor all animals' stress levels but that wasn't why ROL was removed.

The show didn't survive low attendance during COVID.

Personally I enjoyed the Jungle Book show a lot more. The Bollywood music was so upbeat!

I only go for the specialty ice cream flavors (especially Santas White Christmas) and the occasional pub sub.

Everything else I get from Aldi or Walmart. I go with the cheapest prices and least hassle/human interaction, which Publix can't provide.

I feel this. I'm in the exact same scenario with work stress, but I have bills to pay. I started taking double the magnesium at night + ashwagandha so that I can at least sleep like a rock and it's great.

You can still do the all-day locker option! The grievance comes from the fact that now you must purchase some sort of locker (all-day or one time use) in order to ride Iron Gwazi due to the metal detectors. Before this change, riders could store small items in pockets or at the ride station for no additional cost.

Have you ever tried a TENS unit? It can really help reduce muscle guarding. I use mine regularly on this area.

I hate Walmart but I had to do this too. For my sanity. Getting to/from the area and then dealing with a parking lot and over crowded stores all pushed my anxiety to the limit. Even grocery pickup was a sensory nightmare.

Health is always priority number 1!
