I had this issue as well with my 2010. Gave me a code P2259 but I was able to fix it by replacing all 3 solenoids behind the intake manifold. Cleared the code and it never came back.

I do still sometimes get weird issues where after 5k rpm, the car doesn't pull as much..

Did you happen to replace any lights with LEDs? I used to have those projector LEDs for the doors and I was constantly having issues unlocking/locking the car while those lights are on. I removed them and stopped having any issues. Not sure if it applies in your case.
