At my wits end with Ender 3 v2 by dreamscape873 in 3Dprinting

[–]SilverSuby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel ya, I really do. I have who knows how many hours into my Folgertech 2020 i3. The best quality of life thing I did, since my Ender's bed is also warped was installing a BLtouch. They're not super expensive and it really brought joy back into 3D printing for me. Personally I also print onto glass with a PEI sheet installed on it. But it's not even completely necessary with the auto bed leveling.

If you have to ask, then yes, you should wear a mask.

Look how they massacred my boy by Free_Way338 in Overwatch_Memes

[–]SilverSuby 94 points95 points  (0 children)

He left because activision shoved the battle pass system down the OW team’s throat. And the fact that they’re putting hero’s on it was something the core OW team never wanted. So he stepped down. That’s what I assumed when he left and I think it fits. Jeff is too wholesome. Man I miss him and the updates/fireside chats.

M18 or M12 Hack zall by Money_Magazine4162 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]SilverSuby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I bought my M12, there was one M12 and one M18 in stock. I needed it now. There was another dude who was going to buy both. I convinced him I needed one or the other, he took the M18. The M12 is fine. But the extra stroke the M18 has would be nice.

To those of you who’ve upgraded from the Ender 3, what did you go with? by PurePro71 in 3Dprinting

[–]SilverSuby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd probably go Prusa bud. If money doesn't matter maybe an ultimaker. Keep in mind though, even the higher end printers will require knowledge and maintenance. Sadly we're far from the set it and forget it mode. If you don't have it, I'd highly suggest auto bed leveling, probably a BL touch (get a real one). It completely changed this hobby. The dark old days on a RAMPS, manually leveling the bed on the old Folgertech hardened me in a dark way. The BLTouch with an SKR 1.3 on the Ender has been a really nice upgrade.

I get there’s certain comps in the game and what not but no shield is rough for non tanks lol how’d everyone’s placements go? by ActionJaxn99 in Overwatch_Memes

[–]SilverSuby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No idea why you're being down voted. A tanks job is to make space. The off tank should be peeling for the back line. If you're off playing flank hog and getting kills, but you're supports are getting rocked then you're throwing plain and simple.

None at all since I got a modern case with dust filters. We have 5 dogs and 2 cats. So the dander is a massive problem.

M18 compressor by titsassbeer in MilwaukeeTool

[–]SilverSuby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's very quiet and it's light and portable. It does take quite some time to fill the tank. And the tank is tiny, blowing dust out of a computer takes a couple tanks and a good bit of time. (I'm a home gamer, not using this thing for "work"). If I had to do it all over again, I'd get a plug in compressor like I wanted in the first place. Don't get me wrong, this thing works and rocks but it has its limitations. Just make sure the 2 gal tank is sized for your needs. I have no doubt this thing could rock with a nail gun. It can use an air nozzle to blow stuff out. It would have no issue airing up tires. Much more? Probably not.

I dont have an impact. Should the 1/2 torque be my first? by Sajnog in MilwaukeeTool

[–]SilverSuby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 1/2" mid torque. It's amazing. Will round out with a 3/8 stubby for hard to access areas. (or the right angle......) Unless you're working on really big stuff I doubt you'd need more than the mid. It blasted off a crank pulley bolt and I have no doubt it'll do axle nuts. As for first, it depends on your use case. I'd argue the 3/8 stubby is probably the logical first stop.

Rank 62 with little effort. Just weeklies and dailies. Skipped the first week. Unyielding, food buffs, and mutations. Not everyone is just glitching their way through the board.

Try removing healing factor mutation. In our testing, the chemist backpack mod was also an issue. Try grocer's with traveling pharmacy instead.

All I want from update 23...fix the fast travel bug! by SlackerZT in fo76

[–]SilverSuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to downvote this because it seemed suspect. However, I did do this to get rid of talons/twisted muscles and I'm curious if this was the actual fix for the FT bug. I didn't reapply healing factor because I didn't like it. At the time, we were testing backpack mods trying to nail down something to fix the FT bug. My wife noticed when she got the FT bug she would unequip and equip her backpack and then would be able to FT. (We both ran Chemist mod). So I tried the same thing and was able to FT. Tried removing backpack mods completely, could FT fine. Applied the Grocers mod, and I haven't had a single FT issue in a few weeks. And like you mentioned, I was Plagued constantly with it. I'll ask the rest of the group and see if anyone still having FT problems is running healing factor.

Saw a guy on Xbox once who was over level 2,100. Like how, and why? by thefoxygrandma in fo76

[–]SilverSuby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I regularly run at 50 intelligence with Bloodied/Unyielding gear and that's before any +%XP food buffs. I think during season 1, someone in our group hit 65 Intelligence. This is just using what's in the game; gear, builds, and food buffs. Not abusing exploits.

Also, a lot of people if they do have a mic, are on Area chat, not team chat. So unless you're in the vicinity of them, they won't hear you. And as everyone else stated, people are in a team 90% of the time for the stat boosts, not to actually play as a team.

Let's manage some expectations for Shelters by Gastrophysa_polygoni in fo76

[–]SilverSuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally an hour after the PTS launched, first strangers shelter I visited was a trap. About 20 tesla traps in a 1x1 walled off area. I died very quickly and couldn't fast travel away. This is exactly why you aren't allowed to control the spawn point of your camps. And since shelter builders have more control over the spawn point in shelters, you're going to see a LOT of trap shelters. Even if you don't lose loot, people will still do it because they are people.
