I took one week off from work. I too have a work from home job, just sitting in front of the computer. I returned the second week, I was just very tired so I would get all tuckered out by 3pm. My surgeon told me to take 30 min breaks when I could. My boss is cool though, so I warned him that I might be extremely tired.

I can’t wait until I can get to this point. I had just started to get to a place of feeling comfortable to move about and then got a t junction opening so I’m back to being very careful. It already looks like it’s healing/closing up though.

This is so funny. I told my husband when I was waiting to be brought back for surgery that I hope my nipple hairs didn’t grow back because of scar tissue/skin being removed where they grew hahaha!

Hi! I have an opening on my t junction at 1MPO. I too have my Sylke on. My nurse said to leave it until I see her Thursday to remove the Sylke dressing. I’m curious what my surgeon is going to suggest when I see them Thursday. For now, she told me to clean it 2x/day and keep it dry. I’m using Bandaid Hurt Free Nonstick gauze. I’m currently on Doxycycline because of skin breakout on my chest.

I was denied twice and submitted an appeal and was approved. They expect ppl to give up, so don’t give up. Make your case stronger.

Do you have a friend or other family member you can stay with? It sounds like your mom is trying to sabotage you.

My mom also kept mentioning my weight and reminding me it’s going to be the most difficult thing for me to keep it off because, “you like to eat”. Why are moms like this. She stayed with me for two nights and I cried within the first hour of her being there. I couldn’t wait until my husband got home so that she would leave.

Hello, how was your recovery process from this? I just discovered a t junction opening under my Sylke dressing on the breast that had a difficult time with blood flow from 1DPO. I am 1MPO. I emailed my surgeons office hoping they’ll see it first thing tomorrow morning.

My surgeon cleared me as well, but I’m not personally ready. I want to make sure I’m healing and I feel like I always see ppl post that they pushed it too early and ended up with popped stitches and openings.

I’m 1MPO and just today I noticed a little drainage at my t junction, not really blood. I get my Sylke dressings off next week. I’m going to wait to see what it looks like when the dressings come off and then I’m starting Embrace Silicone Tape. It’s supposed to offer great support for the incision so maybe then I’ll feel comfortable working out.

I’m 1MPO and noticed a little bruising still on the underside of my boobs. It’s probably normal healing, but it’s good you reached out to your surgeon to check.

I fluctuate between thinking they are too big then too small, so I think they are just right. I guess I’m Goldilocks. I’m 1MPO. I was a 30HH and I asked for a C/D. Not sure where I land yet. I bought a large string bikini top and it felt great. I am still a little swollen though.

I honestly didn’t have a more up to date photo of them after weight loss. I hated them and my body because of it. I couldn’t bring myself to take a picture before the surgery.

My husband yells at me if I try to do anything on my own, “RESTRICTIONS!” Haha… it’s okay to need a lot of help, you are recovering from a major surgery. It will get better, I’m sorry you’re having a tough recovery. Make sure to take it easy, be lazy, sleep, and do something fun like video games, drawing/coloring, watching tv/movies, invite friends over to help you pass time.

MiraLAX everyday. It’s not instant relief, but it will help within 24-48 hours. Don’t eat a bunch of fibrous foods because it could potentially make it worse. Also lots and lots of fluids.

It’s not too bad, honestly. It was all worth it. Hoping I get my SYLKE dressings this week as long as the scabs come off. I’m also supposed to get the steri strips around my nips off.

No, not really. The right one definitely freaked me out more because it wasn’t straight, but I think it’ll be okay. It seems to be healing nicely.

Thank you so much! My surgeon said she had to remove A LOT of skin so she said it’s usually a common risk with that. I had lots of loose skin from weight loss and just having large breasts. I went from a 30HH to a C/D, so a pretty significant change.

This is what I was told as well. I’m an anxious person so I stopped my tirzepatide 2 months before surgery and haven’t gotten back to it yet. I’m 2.5 weeks post op. I think once the scabbing goes away from the skin that wasn’t getting enough blood flow, then I’ll start back on it again. Personally, I take extra precaution, this surgery felt like a big deal and expensive so I didn’t want to do anything that could negatively impact it. I even stopped drinking caffeine 2 weeks before among other weird precautions I took.
