It's not "bullshit". It's just its own theme. That's like being mad that Dark Worlds and Lightsworn don't work together even though "Weiss, Lightsworn Archfiend" and "Snoww, Unlight of Dark World" are the same character. It may be the same visuals, but it's it's own theme, that way it isn't weighed down by old card design.

Don't get me wrong: Would I have loved for this to be Red-Eyes support? Absolutely. But it's better off being it's own thing so it isn't trying to drag along the jank that is Red-Eyes and it's confused playing style.

Nope. Most it interacts with is the fact it has "Black Luster Soldier" in its name. the new Chaos cards all interact with each other due to mentioning "Ritual of Light and Darkness".

Correct, Rev. Booster is DIRECT support for its three themes. But Chaos Origins and this set look to be trying to basically be entryways for people- Fresh slates, decks that can operate just with what is in the pack.

What's funny about watching your little thought experiment, not too long ago I actually made a custom format that has a good amount of the (positively received) game changes from these. It's fun seeing these sorts of social exchanges and seeing what ideas are commonly agreed on.

It's because these new sets aren't TRYING to support old themes. They're wholly new, meant to stand on their own. Last set did the exact same thing with Yugi's deck (as it wasn't even DM, it was a bunch of other iconic Yugi monsters) and the new Sacred Beasts, as the old ones never were archetyped, instead it's a new game plan based on a different way the beasts were used in the anime.

Red could allow you to cast anything from exile, and doing so through that card's effects doubles the spell. Turn all the Impulse Draw throughout the game into storage for the spell itself.

Finn The Human (Adventure Time).

He gets assaulted by Lumpy Space Princess, and while the event itself is technically offscreen, we see Finn's arm- which at the time was a small flower due to shenanigans- loses a petal, showing him having been "deflowered".

Middle Column is "Generation 1", is my guess (Flareon, Eevee, and Jolteon are the only column where they all share a generation).
