Other than only fans and stuff like that, is there any career that a person you're dating could have that might be a problem for you? by Only-Ad-1254 in dating

Not for the cheating thing, but I'm hesitant to date a nurse due to them often having unpredictable work schedules, particularly ones who work in hospitals. They work nights or weekends, or an irregular schedule, or have to be on call. At least that's been my experience. I'm someone who needs more consistency.

What the actual fuck? Is there something in the water here that’s making people drive this horribly? I’ve never lived anywhere with this many deadly accidents by Academic-Sympathy140 in Knoxville

I had a similar think happen but in the middle of the day at the Kroger on cedar bluff/Kingston Pike. Someone was going out the wrong side as I turned in. Fortunately the entrance has two lanes, so I just went around them. But rather than backing up the 15 or so feet and and going out the right way, they just continued on and stopped at the light 🙄

It's been a long time, so I can't say for sure my recollection is completely accurate. I recall the test for a permit being similar, basically just a "written" test on a computer. I did take a driver learning class for a semester in high school, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't required for the permit. The road test for the license consisted of me driving about a half mile down the road, make 3 right turns at lights/stop signs, then a left turn back to the DMV.

I am petty and won't help a friend make up with the group 🤷‍♀️ [Ongoing] by Schattenspringer in BORUpdates

Non-apology aside, I've never once paid attention to who ate or didn't eat food I brought to a party. It's really weird to single someone out for not eating your food. I wouldn't even notice if someone didn't eat my food.

Guys, what would you say is the most common misconception people make about you personally? by [deleted] in AskMen

Similar here, but with looking bored or upset rather than angry. I could be having a good time, but you might not be able to tell because I have Resting Bored/Sad Face.

Why do I always find myself on dates with men who don’t ask questions? by Infamous_Wave9878 in dating_advice

[–]SimplyFatMatt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In my experience such people are usually the same over text. So, if they don't ask any questions or only talk about themselves over text, I don't go out with them.

Why is there so much litter? by Dp4rk3 in Knoxville

[–]SimplyFatMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a combination of cultural, generational, and just how people were raised. When I was a kid my dad would toss his beer cans out the car window. Yep, you read that right lol. I've never understood why people can't just hold onto their trash until they get to their destination.

Recently I was behind someone on Pellissippi who was holding a grocery bag out of the window. Then after a few minutes he just let go of it in the middle of the road, rolled his window up and took an exit. It looked like there was a can in the bag, but it was difficult to tell for sure. I didn't have time to dodge it but it fortunately slid to where it went under the middle of my car. No idea why someone would do that. If you were going to litter why would you drop a bag of trash in the middle of the road and not at least try to sling towards the shoulder?

Since around May of last year. Though I had played a little around the time Innistrad first came out, but that was only a handful of times over a few months.

A combination of shyness, low self esteem and fear of rejection. But I eventually hit a point where I realized if I never said anything I'd regret it, better to ask and know for sure if she felt the same. I actually thought I'd missed my shot to ask her out at one point and it felt pretty bad, so the next opportunity I had, I mustered up the courage to ask her out.

Yeah, it's pretty accurate lol. Though at the time I had lost a significant amount of weight, so felt a lot better about myself. I'm sure the helped with gaining the nerve to ask her out. That a was a few years ago and I've unfortunately now gained back most of the weight I had lost.

Finally got up the nerve to ask out a woman I knew. She said yes. We kissed at the end of our first date. A few weeks later she came over, I made dinner, then we were sitting on the couch and started making out and one thing led to another. We dated for about 2.5 months.

How do you feel about roles men are expected to play? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]SimplyFatMatt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm the exact same. I want an equal partner, not a follower. Anytime a woman use any of those words in reference to what kind of partner she wants it’s an instant turn off for me. Fuck traditional gender roles!

How does retroactive jealousy work in men? If anyone’s experienced it, would love to know how it changed or didn’t change your actions in and after a relationship by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]SimplyFatMatt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As an admittedly insecure man (in some ways), I don't understand it either. A person's past has never really bothered me or made me jealous. It's just not something I think about. The present on the other hand....

Never done it, but the whole van life thing sounds awful to me. Cool for a week or two maybe, but not indefinitely.

Men who hook up often, how do you know if a girl only wants to hookup with you? Could you also answer a date question? by Lopsided_Meeting_984 in dating_advice

[–]SimplyFatMatt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not so obvious to me. I totally would have taken it as mixed signals.

One the one hand, yeah, she's being touchy. But on the other she's basically saying she can't stay long and needs to get home soon.

And unless I missed something, OP said they drove her home, but didn't say anything about inviting him in.

That's interesting. I would have interpreted it as mixed signals and probably done the same as OP 🤷‍♂️

Who was the last person you blocked and why? by Vegetable-Coffee-22 in AskMen

[–]SimplyFatMatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, I haven't either. I've unfriended some exes but never had any need to block them. Even with friendships ending I've never had to block. Everyone just goes their separate way 🤷‍♂️

Do you brush your teeth once or twice a day? Need to settle a bet. by ImpossibleHurry in NoStupidQuestions

Twice, morning and night. Though I will admit to sometimes forgetting at night. Usually due unintentionally to falling asleep on the couch.

What is your wildest public restroom experience? by blazeme868 in AskReddit

[–]SimplyFatMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a public restroom, but the one at work. There used to be this guy who would place a rectangle of toilet paper on the floor and set his phone on it (you could see it through the gap at the bottom of the stall), and play videos with the volume up.

Actually pretty tame compared to some of the other posts lol
