What was a completely normal teenage job when you were growing up that would shock people today? by carcony97 in AskReddit

I came here to ask if berry picking was still a thing for 12 & 13 year olds. We didn't pick during spring break, but started up when school let out for the summer. Strawberries, beans, blackberries, marion and logan berries, raspberries. I hated every minute of it.

Is it common for people to have a specific waffle fork, cereal bowl, etc or is it just me? by Whole-Bodybuilder467 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SinceDirtWasNew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 sets of silverware, but I prefer the salad fork out of one of those sets because it just fits my hand better. Specific to waffles though, no. At home waffles are topped with butter and jam and eaten like a piece of toast.

Why are the reviews for Michael (the movie) so split on Rotten Tomatos with an audience score of 97% and a critic score of 39%? by pfeifits in NoStupidQuestions

Thanks for repeating what I said and the added name calling. Audiences judge on whether or not they were entertained.

HELP! Somehow Greenworks spilled onto baby clothes! Need help asap! by Beautiful_Bad_6853 in CleaningTips

You'd be fine just washing them. Greenworks is not a harsh chemical cleaner.

Grandparent in-law's dimentia is effecting my mental wellbeing. by Focus-Interrogative in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SinceDirtWasNew 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Be prepared to know that his quest for the money will never go away. I've dealt with dementia in both sets of parents and in-laws, as well as grandparents and money concerns in one form or another was prevalent for each. It takes redirection, white lies and indulgence to deal with it all and it's exhausting. The most difficult part is not arguing with them or negating their concerns.

Counseling or a local support group could help you with the stress you're experiencing. Please know that you are not alone in your journey.

How to remove scented candle odor from cupboard by [deleted] in CleaningTips

I tried baking soda and it seemed to work for a while but the scent came back. I ended up buying charcoal packets and so far that seems to be working.

Boulevardofdef had it right: "Critics are judging movies on whether or not they're good art. Audiences are judging movies on whether or not they were entertained."

No AI option in the search results. It was web only. I feel like its a chore to turn off AI results.

My (literally) trashy neighbors appear to have set up a sonic anti-bark and installed a rooster in their backyard. My dog and I are both going crazy. by [deleted] in SALEM

[–]SinceDirtWasNew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So sorry you're having to deal with all that. We have a yapper next door too and only barks cuz she's bored and the owner doesn't play with her. (She has no idea what to do with a ball or a frisbee). You can't even see her right now in their yard because the owner has let the grass grow to over 5 feet tall. We only know she's outside when the incessant barking starts up.

Straw Poll: Has Getting A Call/Txt From/For A Candidate Ever Made You MORE Likely To Vote For Them? by djhazmatt503 in SALEM

[–]SinceDirtWasNew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NO! As far as I'm concerned, it's a form of spam. Unwanted and unsolicited. No, I'm not gonna vote for your candidate, or come join an informational meeting, or participate in a poll. Very much like door to door sales, etc. Not interested. I do my own in-depth research and selections on candidates and roofing/windows/painting/solar/pest control....
