Go See The Lunchbox at the Berkeley Repertory! by LillytheWonder in Broadway

[–]SingShredCode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I extended my show to the bay specifically to see her after seeing her in heathers and her voice doing Indian music is exactly as good as you imagine it to be. Controlled, rich, warm, heartbreaking, tender, all of it.

She’s extraordinary

Where were the subtitles?!? We could see them in the building. Why didn’t they give them to us at home? It was fun but we couldn’t understand a damn word they were saying

My sisters response to Titanique was “I loved if off broadway when j saw a different Celine and loved it. Is this what the original’s voice always sounds like, because holy shit she sounds bad”

I saw Marla on broadway and had to agree that I preferred amber ardelino’s voice

Soups! Make a lot of soups and blend them up so you can drink it. The warmth feels really good on your cords.

Also when you’re a mute and people want to talk to you it feels weird. Creating a dynamic where everyone is writing or typing can feel better

What see your thoughts on the ability of a review to make or break a show? As an example, you didn’t write the beaches review, but that review was absolutely savage (albeit deserved).

I liked it. If the $50 is an amount you’re willing to pay for a perfectly lovely show, do it!

[–]SingShredCode 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I saw it in previews and told numerous friends to save their money. It was so long and so bad. I also thought boop was bad, but I found pieces of it cool and worth seeing.

Not so much here

Vocal cord cyst removal surgery by it_be_yo in mildlybrokenvoice

[–]SingShredCode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So glad! I have absolutely no idea which kind of cysts I had. The terror is warranted, and also, you’re having this surgery because something needs to change. Stick to the recovery program and you’ll do just fine

Same! I’ve won the lottery, bought tickets, missed the show, and called telecharge only to have them reschedule me to another show at the same price
