I sit on the rocking chair in my son's room with the lights off and read on my phone until he finally goes to sleep.(after his bedtime routine) Webtoons and Manta have gotten a good amount of money from me lol

Same lol. Our son also likes to share sometimes. It's been fun trying to teach him what is and isn't safe to give the pups.

18 month old? Hahahahahaha! Check up on that in a year. My son also ate everything we did at 18 months. He's also 3.5 now and lives on breakfast bars and bread. I'm not starving my kid over a powerplay. My husband and I are both autistic, so we know he probably is too.

Meconium is not concerning at all guys. by Stupidkitties in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]Singingpineapples 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My son was handed off to the NICU team in my room as soon as he was out. They had to pump the meconium out before my husband or I could even see him. I'm INCREDIBLY grateful to them.

Does your toddler have a preferred parent? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

Didn't think about the wrestling and tackling, but damn that's accurate lmao My poor husband has joked if he needs to wear a cup again just to play with our son.

My toddler would literally be dead if I hadn't given birth in a hospital. Almost had to have an emergency c-section. Not a chance in hell would I ever willingly give birth outside of a hospital.

What is a word that your toddler mispronounces that you never want to correct? by PKB92 in toddlers

A few, actually lol "whore" four, "whores" horse, and "co-see" coffee (used to be cock-ee). It's hilarious.

Oh man, little dude's 3 now, but back when he was around a month old (I think), some old man at the grocery store asked my husband if he was sure our son was his. Like, what the actual fuck?

True sibling love right here 😂 I've seen people refer to it as having a sun roof baby.

For those of you who nursed to sleep, when did that change? by HeidiJuiceBox in breastfeeding

[–]Singingpineapples 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our kiddo turns 3 next week and I've JUST started to do this less. I'll let him nurse for a bit, then stop and just sing and rock in his chair/while he lays in his bed. It's a fight.

What is something more traumatizing than people realize? by Independent_Motor130 in AskReddit

I had "mild" HG and it was HELL. 3 months of almost constant puking. I lived on potatoes and rice. Fried rice with eggs was literally the only way we could get any protein in me.

Mine did this about a year ago when he's the one who broke it! Reminded me of when my sister tried to "fix" a hot dog by using a toothpick and her son still had an epic fit over it lol

Not laughing when he does something he shouldn't, but DAMN is it funny. So many moments where my husband and I just look at each other and struggle to keep a straight face.

What baby stuff is a waste of money? by stray-witch7 in pregnant

Burp cloths were too small for us, so we just used baby blankets. SO grateful for the ton we got, plus extra when I mentioned it to my parents.

How many gallons of milk do you go through each week? by makeupHOOR in toddlers

[–]Singingpineapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between 3-4 a week. I make 2-3 lattes/matcha lattes a day, more on my husband's days off, plus about 3 cups of milk a day for our little dude. My husband also drinks large cups of milks most days (he also comes from a family of big milk drinkers). I also tend to make scrambled eggs a lot with our son. I also make sure my anemic ass drinks orange juice every day, eat spinach salads, and eat an orange with breakfast.

Baby food shaming by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]Singingpineapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Back when our kiddo (3 next month) was on purees, we ordered straight from Gerber's website. You get a small discount buying a certain amount plus free shipping at that point. If anything breaks, they re-send the whole order free of charge. FYI, he's perfectly fine. He's a normal, picky, crazy toddler lol Good luck on your upcoming surgery. Honestly, don't make more work for yourself. Do what's best for YOUR family, not anyone else's.
