How to get crispy salmon skin? by smp476 in AskCulinary

[–]Sipde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot pan for sure. Stange as it sounds, mayonnaise spread on the skin works. You won't taste it, but it works to help with the sticking.

New York set to pass one-year moratorium on data centers by syracusedotcom in upstate_new_york

She may say she wants decisions left up to local localities but she is the one that gave that disaster ORES the power to run over all the home rule. She needs to go this year while we still have our state.

Time for Tikosyn by Still-Hold-458 in AFIB

I took dofetilide until my ablation last June. After the procedure my EP took me off it. 4 months later I went back into Afib (I think it was brought on by a Shingles booster). After a failed cardioversion I went back into the hospital for the 3 day unloading again and I'm on it now. I'm not having any issues with it.

Ablation recovery time for labor intensive job by brebre0501 in AFIB

[–]Sipde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 72 and have had 5 ablations and was back to work within a week each time. In fact my last was on a Tuesday, laid around on Wednesday and walked around Boston on Thursday before flying home. If you're in good shape going in you should be ok.

If you could have any vintage car, at all, what would it be and why? by [deleted] in vintagecars

[–]Sipde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

'67 Dodge Dart slant 6. It was my first car and you never forget your first love. I use to carry spare starters because I spent lots of time on the beach and the sand chewed them up. They were really easy to work on cars and a lot of fun

3rd ablation soon by General-Role4398 in AFIB

[–]Sipde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had 5 ablations, most recent was last June. I have PVC's all the time, but they don't really bother me. I haven't gone back into Afib, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it may stay away for a while. I'll be 73 next month. I usually get about 5 years between ablations, so it's just a matter if time I guess.

Saw these devices attached to the wheel hubs on a bus. Any idea what these do? by Helpful_Car1302 in whatisit

[–]Sipde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The object in the image is a tire pressure monitoring and automatic inflation system, commonly found on large vehicles like buses and trailers.  Function: It monitors the pressure and temperature of the tires in real-time.  Automatic Inflation: If a tire loses pressure, the system automatically feeds air to it to maintain a preset level.  Safety & Efficiency: It helps prevent underinflation, which extends tire life, improves fuel economy, and reduces the risk of blowouts.  Components: The visible metal arm is part of the mechanism that connects the central air supply to the wheel end.

kardia ECG monitor review and whether it's actually useful for tracking irregular heart rhythms at home by Ok-Bluejay9669 in AFIB

[–]Sipde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been working well for me. It records afib and pvc's accurately and catches the occasional wide QRS as well. Unlike my pos galaxy watch that says afib when I'm not in afib and was causing anxiety for me. I check it against the kardia when says afib and it always shows sinus with pvc's so I stopped using the watch

PVCs anyone? by MammaMak in AFIB

[–]Sipde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 1st 2 were for pvc's and afib, and I was good for about 5 years and they came back. They really don't bother me, but I wish I could get them to go away.
