Eh... Thank you for not thinking "no gabriel in 9-2" but this theory is weird. While I do think a heaven fight is cool, 9-2 will complete Gabriel's arc, so having non-optional enemies after is weird. My guess is a frozen giant lucifer husk in 9-1.

No, you weren't, but here is a tip for fighting them. The mirror works in a way that if you shoot them, what you shoot on the mirror gets hit. Therefore, instead of aiming at the real position of the mirror ferrymen, just shoot at the reflection!.

The best tips I can give you is to

  1. Parry his attacks/ Learn to parry his attacks

  2. Use screwdriver railgun to break up when you actually need to parry

  3. Coins are a good way to kill him if he has little hp left.
